PS the E-clip is a NIGHTMARE! You must have a technique to it, looks like you pulled "up" more than "away" which is probably why most of us got sore hands from doing this ;)
Most excellent.. I used a spare spring from the SE stick in my TE and its a real treat, stiff as fu*k which is just what I was after! Play lots of fighters and so don't mind it that loose but for my shmups I needed to do something, maybe get a Semitsu but I saw this mod and its awesome! Nice one!
i just recently switched from madkatz se to sanwa parts and the difference is amazing..only problem is dashing..fadc combos were a breeze back on the crappy madkatz but now im kinds struggling..has anyone made the same change in sticks and experienced the same?and would a different spring make some difference?or should i just shut the fuck up and get used to it?
@TheChainsOFMisery you'll get used to it if you haven't already just got mine and fadc combos were just a little problem at first but easy to get the hang of it as far as the springs go it's just player preference.
yeah i did get used to it quickly after i made that comment...playing on the crappy madkatz se knockoff forced me to play with a "heavy hand"...its like switching from a 1967 pick up truck to a ferrari testarossa..however i still wanted just a little bit of resistance so i got the LS-33 spring and now everything is just PERFECT.
i actually did the mod with an ls32 + ls55 it felt stiff just like i wanted. but lately it feels lighter and lighter which i dont want. is ther anything i can do?
@adr916sac use anything small enough to wedge "inside" of the E-ring and pry it out...in the video it looked like he just a small screwdriver...like the kind u would use for screws on eyeglasses. u can either do that or use ur fingers/nails and just force it out...it's really not that hard but take a little effort
Hey so i assume the spring makes it spring back quicker? Also if i use the spring mod do i need the tape? I figured the tape was for less movement and quicker character reaction. I'm buying the spring and don't want to use any tape. Will that be fine without any problems?
is it required to disconnect the whole joystick because if i do that im going to have to buy some locktight to get the cord to stick back to the connector

dmryoshi 1 year ago
Somone probably already asked this but can you do this to a SS4 TE fightstick?
jayham28 1 year ago
where do i buy a new spring? i got a sf4 te stick and i wanna do this.
KKeo4leaR 1 year ago
Why would someone want to mod the JLF spring?? If you want a harder spring just replace the JLF with a Sanwa JLW-TM-8.

Thanks m8, so it will just slip on with the stock sanwa spring and make the stick tighter ?
wiggygfe 2 years ago
Yes,cause the diameter of the LS 32 is bigger than that of the JLS.
SchmalzimOhr 2 years ago
yes u can

What exactly does adding the spring do?
DarkEclips 2 years ago
does that make more resistance like the american joysticks??
tuber52 2 years ago
Yes it does add more resistance but not to the extent of an American stick.
kariido1 2 years ago
do you have to do anything else in order to put in the extra spring or do you just put it in and then just put everything back in
tuber52 2 years ago
will that work with a JLW too?

You make getting that E-ring off easy....
