It took me 3 years to lose 30 lbs and another 2 to maintain. This year I continue my journey to lose more and I am hoping to mainntain. I just found your channel. Keep it going, the new year is here, we are all in this together but most important is for ourselves to believe we can :)
Hey, you! It's been two years since I've been around. I just want to remind you... It's not about how much weight you lost, but how you feel about yourself! Don't stress it! Stress can actually trigger a weight gain reflex in the body. :) Haven't seen you in a while because I haven't been around, but in all your videos you're just as cute as ever. :)
Go back to the beginning and remember why you decided to start this, and focus on that answer.
Have you read or listened to any of Antony Robbins stuff?
I highly recommend it. He is a very big guy who had a very big weight problem. He lost the weight and kept it off and he explains how he did it. He is heavily into how the mind works and how to get it to work for you.
You are a talented creative bloke,andIhavefaithin you,Iknowyoucanachievewhateveryousetyourmindto.
28 pounds is a lot when you think about it. I'm sure you're so much healthier. Like I've said before, try to focus on health first, and the weight will come off. Can you imagine the stress on your organs 28 pounds was?? I try to think of how the foods affect my body, that helps me say no, and you're definitly right, don't bring food into the house that you don't want to eat. I always get messed up at Christmas and have to wean off again. *sigh* what's Christmas without marzipan and chocolate?:)
and dont just use all the money u save up for ur self:)donate some of it:)it really comes back in a manner none of us can possibly imagine.take care stay safe stay sharp;)
I want to say that what u r doing needs a lot of confidence and iron will which u have proven that u posses both.Although u wanted to lose 50kgs but lost 13kgs, i want to remind you that even the LONGEST journeys start with only one tiny little step.
Go Sharpy, 13kg may be short of your goal, but it'll add years to your life. Keep at it mate.
Get as many motivators as you can. Use the money you don't spend on junk food on a holiday instead. Join a casual sporting team. Ride your bike to work. Find something you enjoy that involves exercise...
With this possible promotion looming, you could ask your HR rep if there's anything that could be done to make your job more exercise friendly.
Who knows, you could be BP's answer to Jared Fogle
Congrats Sharpy! You've done so well! I'm sorry I missed you when you were (apparently) here in NZ. Temptation is so hard I've been on my programme for 6 months and for the last 2 months I've been struggling, especially since I've lost so much and I'm quite happy with my weight so far, even tho I aim to lose more. But hey, I'm still going - and I'm in this with ya! Don't slack off or I'll come over and 'punish' you. LOLZ
Have you had another physical Sharpy? It would be interesting to see how your blood pressure, cholesterol, and body mass index have changed over the last year.
I don't know your exact situation, but maybe this could be of some help. Ever since age 10, I've been going to elementary school, highschool, study and now job by bike. 30 min. to, 30 min. from. I could imagine that things are a bit different in Australia, but maybe you could do certain things by bike of even just foot, rather than by car. If not your job, then maybe going to the mall. You'll be exercising without explicit planning and doing something else in the mean time as well.
Even though you didn't lose 50kg, 13kg is still pretty good. 50kg is a hell of a lot to lose and it's hard to keep focus on a target like that.
I have trouble with the excersise but now I have a job as a packer meaning I'm moving for 5 hours, packing, lifting ect. So it's excersise I get paid for, thats more like it! :D
Good luck sharpy! Lets hope by this time next year we are both slimmer people because I too need to lose about 40kg.
Sharpy, this is the first 365 video I've watched. I just read Paul McKenna's book "I Can Make You Thin".
McKenna's Four Golden Rules * Eat when you are hungry * Eat what you want, not what you think you should * Eat consciously, and enjoy every mouthful * When you think you are full, stop eating
He's wrong, you can't eat what you want that is just stupid. You eat a lot of healthy food so you get full but not adding on the massive weight. Diet doesn't mean starve it means smart eating.
We can always make another 365 days :)

Well, I had always planned to compare at the end of the period, but since it's been extended I might delay it...

I don't know... eat what you want sounds dangerous...
3SixtyFive 4 years ago
Only when you're hungry, stop when you're full. He explains everything in the book. Pick it up.
animalmedicines 4 years ago
He says that when you diet by not eating enough you're putting your body into survival mode (fat storage) and your metabolism slows down.

Well he is only a PhD.
animalmedicines 4 years ago
It doesn't matter there have been thousands of doctors who have been wrong. :)
All of the doctors I've spoken too and all otther diet things think the eat whatever you want idea is stupid.
Mills88 4 years ago
Just read about it.
animalmedicines 4 years ago
I'll look into it but I still think his 4 golden rules are the 4 rules of getting fat and the reason why people are fat.
The only way to counter eating anything is a LOT more exersise which wouldn't be too much fun.
