  • Wow, good jammin' Kids are axin' me to teach them some Jessica...so that's the tune.

I love my black face Fenders

  • ive got the same thing going on as u ba6cu, but ive been playing for a year

  • Lol, not very encouraging!!!

  • Really like your playin' man, some of the best blues on youtube. How long did it take you to get that good? I've been learning to play for a few months & starting to be able to play some improvised blues solos that sound ok but find it hard to keep finding new licks and move around the fretboard. Do these kinds of things just come with time and practice? Keep posting new vids!!!

  • I've been playing probably longer than you've been alive. Haha!! The only way is practice. There is no magic pact with the devil or anything. Just a little talent and lots of practice. Thanks for your nice comments!!

  • Thanks man, by the way, as your name's skydog, any chance of some allman style slide??? keep up the good work

  • I LOVE THE ALLMAN BROTHERS. dude, AWESOME job on jessica, u are amazing

  • Thank you very much!!

  • LP burst just sweet tone with DR ^^

  • I think you rock. very good player.

  • hi there skydog came across your channel today ,great playing my freind and excellent tips on the different tonal quality of the Gibson Les Paul .Bought my first Les Paul 93 yesterday and a cool Hi-Watt amp ,so will be working my way through your videos many thanks Andy

  • Sure Andy, anything I can help you with, just let me know!! Thanks!!

  • Skidog that sounds great!, I am a Gibson man my self, have a jap strat that I will trade you for that Paul and I will throw in a fender "Red Nob" twin as well... what do ya think?

  • Tempting....but, no. LOL!!!

  • Awesome Sound:)Long Live The Blues:)))))

  • Freakin' real nice THROAT there Dan'l. Could you tell me if you've tried Phil's Z and what you think of that amp in relation to your '65 DRBF. It sounded kinda nice when you guys did the duelin' duet..:) Since an original '65 would be difficult if not impossible to find maybe the Maz jr would be a nice alternative, available amp for the wood throat chops..:)

  • Yeah, I have tried Phil's Z...and I think it's somewhere in the Vox meets Fender territory...has more clean front end than typical Vox, but when turned up it gets that Vox chiminess and midrange. Great amp for sure. Not my cup of tea. I loved my Blockhead 18w but I got burned out on EL84 tubes. I don't know why....but I just prefer EL34 and 6V6GT now. Get a '68 Silver Face and Black Face it!!!!

  • Love the tone bro!

  • Sounded fantastic. Cream/Zep +... Gotta love it. How high is your volume? I have a DRRI and just love it. Swapped out the speaker but otherwise left it as it is. I get a nice breakup around 4 ish, even nicer around 7. Maybe someday I'll have the nuts to record myself and post something. Until then...Rock on buddy~!~

  • Thanks very much!! You realize this is the real deal and not a reissue? Thanks again and keep the blues alive!!

  • Sounds awesome- I have the reissue, so could you tell me how much of a difference there is in tone between the original and reissue? (And do you know how an ES-335 would sound with it?)

  • ES 335 would sound great with a DR. I think RI DR is just fine for most. When you've made the commitment to play, and you get the money, a BFDR is what you want.

  • Oh, I've made the commitment.... it's just the money that's givin' me a hard time.... Thanks for the reply; I'm gonna go... buy a lottery ticket.
