It was informative for me. i have oily skin and at coincidence I was shopping for mac products at the mall in Macy's but for some resaon i kept getting a resistant feeling toward everything that i was looking at. the colors are very pretty and give bold definition to the face but I wonder sometimes if I am putting too heavy of a product on my skin. So thanks for the video, this will help me when I choose to give it another go at Mac in Macy's or online...or maybe I won't. lol

i bought fashion fair creme to powder its hard to blend but that could be because my skin suddenly went from oily to dry (maybe from meds who knows) i think if you have oily skin it would be good cause its really matte

clear mascara is to keep lashes/brows in place, not to add any noticeable color or thickeing/lengthening. you were just looking for the wrong things in clear mascara.

i think that the mascara is to go over other mascaras....as a waterproofing not as a mascara so much....and you can always add some mac pigments to the clear to get a funky color!!!

Hi Dezi, thanks for the info. Have you found any product that works on oily skin during the summer months? Have you tried Mac Oil Control Lotion because I'm thinking of trying that? I've tried Medi Matte by Cosmedicine from Sephora and Mac Prep and Prime and nothing works.

Thanks for your review!! I use clear mascara for my brows. You may like Benefit's Bad Gal Lash mascara...I do, it makes my lashes full and long. Also, a great matifier is Mary Kay's OIl Mattifier. I love it and use it under my mac foundation also.

Hey Dezi, thanks for the heads up, wish I saw this way earlier before I purchased the MAC prep + Prime SPF 50 primer. Just like you I got oily skin and after using that, I looked like I fell face first into a tub of oil. I initially thought maybe I applied too much but no matter what, I still end up looking oily and greasy so..

I don't like Prep & Prime, but for reasons opposite yours. This winter I often wondered if it was in concert with the cold air to dry out my skin. I would apply it over my Moisture Lush and let it 'set' to that weird silicone slickness and then apply my foundation. Without fail I would end the day with only patches of makeup left, the rest having been absorbed by my thirsty skin. Maybe it was just me...

IF you buy Mac Make up and you are not happy with it in Macy's they will let you exchange it if it shows you have only worn it once and if someone pushed the product on you! They won't give you money back, but you will be able to trade. I think that is a good thing. Many people use clear Mascara when they have really black lashes and do not want to use black Mascara because it ruins or in rain or swiming!

Clear Mascara is a good alternative when your on holiday and/ or your going swimming, it doesnt leave "panda eyes" like black mascara (even waterproof doesnt work for me when i go swimming)but coats the lashes so it looks like you have mascara on. If im going on holiday i dye my lashes first coz i have fair hairs then use the clear mascara. Could also use it if your going to the gym or if its a hot climate and you know your guna sweat alot.

Clear mascara is basically gel in a tube. Some of them have fumes from the acohol that can burn your eyes. It is good for grooming eyebrows and that's about it. I have short lashes that are kinda curly, some are straight, some even curl downward and go in my eyes. When I started wearing makeup I got it because it doesn't show up or leave smudges and it keeps my eyelashes out of my eyes. It's a good alternative to brow gels which are overpriced.

The MAC prep-prime pump is my current primer it's not bad but it could be better , the studio tech was definatly a waste of money as well ! I also have the MAC matte it doesn't work so your opinions are pretty much the same as mine in these , btw what primer do you use currently ?

I have a Lancomes' Pure Focus. This works too good. I don't believe you should purposely clog your pores. I had to go to an Aesthetician to get my pores back open. These oil stoppers' can create troublesome whiteheads and blackheads.

I have tried the M·A·C Oil Control Lotion and it has worked very well for me. I have very oily skin.

I also use Murad skin care and follow it with the M·A·C Oil Control Lotion. I apply Makeup Forever Mat Velvet and then powder my face with the HD High Definition Powder. Using these products I have found I get my make up to last all day and even in to the evening.

Hi there , the mascara that you have is ment to go on over a regular mascara that does have color and is not water proof, and then you apply the clear and the mascara is then waterproof, i use to use it on brides all the time as regular maybeline mascara is the best the regular mascara and then i put that over it and they would not get any racoon eyes if they cried , during wedding , great vid

What is the difference in the mac prep n prime in the pump and the squeeze bottle? You may be able to apply that clear mascara when you apply your false eyelashes to bind your natural lashes to the falsies. Since your skin is really oily what do you use as a face primer?

i had the same problem with the studio tech and couldn't use it... but then I used the MAC oil control lotion and then used the blot powder over it (per a friend at MAC) - it helped. Not sure if that would help you. It's still not my favorite product but I can use it a little now. thanks for the info Dezi. ;-)
