I was also hoping that at some point it will be explained how "Curtis" can dodge bullets...

The voice overs were just... okay... for the most part. "Kelly" is fantastic! I think you completely miscast "Curtis," I mean... he is supposed to be 16? He sounds like he could be the father of the actor PLAYING the father! He also speaks completely in monotone. Happy, surprised, flirty, apologetic... all the same! He should be recast.

This is a good beginning for your new series. Overall, I enjoyed watching this because you shot it very well and the dialogue was decent. A couple of things though...

Why would the crime scene (after being sealed off) with the body and blood remain visible to everyone? Also, the detective is leaving it up to the dad to get new evidence? I realize this is your excuse to have "Curtis" be free and able to masquerade as his alter ego... but could this not have been done in a more believable way??
