Quanti inutili paragoni con Fish,sono due persone assolutamente diverse,entrambi grandi ma ogniuno con caratteristiche differenti.Hogarth ha cambiato la linea musicale dei Marillion,personalmente a me piaciono entrambe.

Io sono convinto che se le canzoni Hogarthiane le facesse Fish non renderebbero allo stesso modo. Chiaramente il discorso è valido anche al contrario.

In ogni caso i marillion sono una delle migliori band di sempre e poi l'anima del gruppo rimane sempre Rothery con i suoi magici tocchi sulla sua chitarra a mio avviso.

Marillion came into their own with Hogarth. Before, sure, they were cool, but they were newer, trying to find a direction, were clearly and obviously heavily a Genesis/Peter Gabriel/Yes influenced band. This lessened towards the end of Fish's involvement.

Today they are more their own thing. They don't try to deliberately copy classic Genesis whatsoever now.

The debate over which vocalist is better I guess will never stop. Honestly who gives a shit. Enjoy it for what it is, then and now.

I have to say I like both the old and the new Marillion. There are some songs I don't like made by Fish, and some a bit lame from Hogarth. Still the amounts of great songs make Marillion one of my favourite bands of all time

They are both great, and it's fine if you can't get into H's era. They are drastically different. If you compared this with... White Feather, you wouldn't think this was the same band.

i just love the way the band puts on a show.

they know everyone who is there WANTS to be there because of the music,and it always looks like the band love every minute aswell.

some of the so called top artists just do the gig for the money and theres no empathy with the audience.
