If you play man d well you will cause that animation where they player loses the ball and eventually the person your playing will try to stop that by passing quickly as soon as you lock him up and usually they'll turn the ball over that way because they don't have time to think about who their passing it to., man d is hard but not impossible if you can master it you'll be a beast in 2k.

i dont really do this. I never guard the person directly because they will get past you. I use the knicks the most so I just use Amar'e most of the time and get many blocks. Usually when they get in the paint i use my other guy , in this case Turiaf, and i'm good.

He could have switched his man coverage on you and play the outside game since he knows you are keeping your center on the inside. But i'm glad to see somebody make a video about great defense. ON BALL doesn't just mean that you keep the same person on them, it means that you play defense on the person with the ball WITH the a person YOU are controlling. After 4 years of playin 2k series, it is possible to win on hall of fame difficulty (Default sliders). Most of the time ive played against cpu and that worked well for my skills. First of all, you cannot win this game on HOF if you are not watching NBA. You DONT HAVE to make any plays, just be very patient when attacking. Just wait for your players to do movement alone! Use p&rolls smart. Cause you will get beaten if you play with crazy tempo. Def: play on ball and double when you feel its right
