how can you put the father and the mother toghter???? i got hamsters , and the animal owner warned me not to put them togher! because he might kill them! and thats whats exactly happiend the first time my hamsters got babbies :( , but now i sperate them , and them preg hamster mom had a birth , and her babies grown up! :)
My dwarf hamster mother and father started to eat the babies then started to fight over who would eat them. Then the living babies chased the mommy around for a baby she's killed in her mouth.
I think mine were a bit crazy. Because we fed them and cleaned their cage every week.

lapatria, you must start putting them together, the male and the female when they are babies and when they become sexually matured, they will breed on their own. If not, the female comes to heat every 4 days, if you put them together at that time, they will mate and not fight. ALWAYS put the female into the male's cage and NOT the other way round!
xbabyxbexyx, you have to just leave them alone in a warm and dark place. Do not touch the babies or the mother and dont stress the mummy!
dwarf hamster are born to fight. u shld separate them but not for too long because they might 4gt each other and nex time they see each other, they will attack.

it is normal that the parents eat at least 1 baby hamster (the runt) but if the fatjer is in the same cage that meens for hamster will get eaten

Thats Actually True, You should seperate the pups from the parents after 4 - 6 weeks, or they'll rebreed with the pups!!!
Also, The dad should've been taken out into another cage, the mother might grow jealous and kill all the pup's!!!
