i am in the process of modifying my old 1971 Capri Mk1.. I mean i live in a Poor island in Asia.. but guys.... even we can do better than that.. i mean look at the dashboard.. the grille.. the measurements are all wrong.. thats just sad. to see Discovery channel people selling crap like this.. cheap junk.. they could have restored it to be something like rs2600 or 3100.. but i know this is a mk3.

The sad part is they are giving this legend this piece of junk as a retirement gift.

Still looks like a capri at the end of the day. And why would they use a rover 3.5 v8?? I would have gone ford or small block chevy. You will struggle to get any more than 300bhp from a rover v8. Poor cylinder head design, thats why is was junked by buick in the first place

that same engine was used in the jaguar xkr , xjr and the range rover sport and those werent slow, it wasnt fast b4 beacuse buick didnt know how to design engines very well (correct me if im wrong) rover refined that engine and it was one the best

The 3.5 litre v8 wasnt used in any off those, they were all 4.0+ 4.2 litre v8, and the range rover sport also had a supercharger fitted hence why it has so much power. The stock rover 3.5 v8 used in this capri produces 190 bhp which isnt a lot for an engine of that capacity. My 1.8 litre celica vvtli produces the same amount of power.
