I agree that standards have been lowered concerning true talent in the industry. But now the pressure is on artists to be original and become songwriters, which not everyone has a natural talent for! Personally, I don't have much excitement for Rihanna. Hate me all you want, but I'm being honest. There are artists that rely more on the music "beat" than their vocal talents, and vice versa. I enjoy heartfelt lyrics and that "power" in their voice that you know is truly theirs to own!
