  • I don't care who you are -- this is a great song. And I totally agree with spiderdragon1969. ELO belongs. No question about it!

  • me and my dad were listening to this album in the car and we thought that this album would be perfect type of music to turn into a musical like queen did with "We will rock you" is it just me that thinks this music would be perfect in that set up? :)

  • This song is so damn good. I believe it's my favorite ELO song, but Jeff Lynne makes it hard to pick one favorite ELO song.

  • Goosebumps!!!!

  • It was the same with Spielberg and an Oscar. Took him freakin' years to get one cos he wasn't a 'kissass' to the establishment.

    Long live ELO!

  • xlnt!!!!!!

  • How I loved ELO, but this is the only song I still love

  • @flugsven Why is this the only ELO song you still love?

  • @no1elofaniknow Because when the New Wawe music swept me away, ELO seemed sweet in a kind of sticky way. Except this one!

  • @flugsven Ahh. When the mainstream music scene turned bitter, huh?

  • @no1elofaniknow sometimes one like things for want of better. New wawe was better. And for that matter, almost the whole brittish musicscene ;-p

  • Awesome!!!

  • This was one of those "non-single" tracks they played a lot of Top 40 radio...

  • i agree . If you ask people if they have ever heard love is like oxygen by sweet they look at you like HUH or DIO holy diver there like yor stupid. When in reallity todays music dosen,t even compare. The list goes on.

  • this takes me back 34 years, when life was easy

  • this song needs more cowbell! Sorry, had to say it

  • @Roggiedodgie Cal Christopher Walken, I hear that he carries a cowbell scrip pad on him!

  • Fantastic song. Highly underrated track. Wish ELO released this as a single or at least a B-side. Maybe it would've gotten more exposure on AOR radio.

  • has to be played very very loud with all the windows open

  • Absolutely fantastic !

I always loved this song since i first heard it, i love it even more today !

  • What a nice voice Kelly had on that album. Far superior to previous albums.

  • Cleveland huh? I'll be in Ohio this weekend. Maybe I could drop by and stomp some arses.......

  • One of my favourite ELO song. Definitely his most inventive. I love the way it keeps going off in different directions.

  • DRIVIN' YOU INSANE!!!!

  • @no1elofaniknow I used to sing "Drive in USA". I did not have the lyrics back then.

  • I also love the cowbell!

  • LOVE that hook at 3:22! For me, it is the cherry on top.

  • gorgeous song one of the best by ELO

  • Fantastic!

Jeff Lynne is our time's Mozart!

  • oooo-oo-la-la-la-la-laa-ah-la-la-la-la-laa

  • I grew up with Black Sabbath Led Zeppelin Pink Floyd and Alice Cooper blasting into my ears on headphones being scratched out by a needle on vinyl. got a decent MCS (JCPenney) stereo about the time I got this album. ELO was kind of a poppy band but still very popular with most of my friends. I went to this tour with the Spaceship too.

  • I loved this album. I have it on vinyl and CD. It was the first album I ever bought. I think I was 15 years old. Tell me if some of the crap they put out today will last 30+ years. I think Jeff still has a lot of songs in him.

  • ELO were so far aheah of their time, its only now that they are really appreciated. if they every got togetyher again.............. well would you.....

  • Words cannot express how great ELO is! This song is one of their best. So beautiful.

  • I begged my parents for these elo albums so I could get pictures of Bev

Bevan-little did I know I would be a lifelong fan of EVERY song they ever made!!! This is PURE talent!

  • more creative than any other band i know

  • There was a song made in the 70's, I believe to be made by Van Der Graaf Generator, that has a similar guitar riff as the one from 0:24 to 0:40. Any one knows what song I'm talking about?

  • I believe the song would be "Killer"

  • @Forsure3333 'More than A Feeling' by Boston.

  • @pardonmygenie Yes, I agree with you. However, there is another that looks even more because it was played with an electric guitar while More Than A Feeling was played with an acoustic guitar.

  • And The Goombay Dance Band

  • Think its time to rock....

    This track sure does...

I love it and sooo many more....

  • I think the decisions of who to induct are made in New York not Cleveland. Whatever the case, there are quite a few loser suckassed people who are in the Rock Hall and shouldn't be.

  • @Lonewlf455 Which loser suckassed ppl were you referring to? Prince? Madonna? Wacko Jacko? Bee Gees? Donna Summer? I'd even include John Denver if he was there. What acts being in there piss you off the most?

  • This song makes me want to drive to Cleveland and walk into the board room of the Rock n Roll Hall Of Fame and grab those fat fucking stuff coats and kick their asses for not inducting ELO!! And while I'm at it I'd spit on them on the way out and say, "I'm also here because Boston, Def Leppard, The Sweet, Chicago, KISS and Badfinger sent me to let you know how fucking stupid you are to not induct them as well!!"

  • And Rush as well...

  • And Journey and Bad Company as well as Cheap Trick and Three Dog Night.

  • @spiderdragon1969 ...here here !!! Good on you spider !!

You have a way with words and only people like you could get the message across !

All of the above are incredible bands especially ELO !

  • @spiderdragon1969 PLEASE dont forget to include Rush and YES in that rant of yours while youre there...

  • @eddielieber RUSH is already in.

  • @spiderdragon1969 My friend, I am not going to start up a flaming argument with you, so just go to Google and type in: "rush rock and roll hall of fame" and see what comes up. I promise you, you will be extremely disappointed as well as shocked at what you see. They made it into the Canadian RRHoF but not the RRHoF in Cleveland...

  • @eddielieber I'm not racist but it'll be a sad day if we see Mariah Carey or Boyz II Men make it into the RRHOF on their 1st try in 2015 before those (who should've been in a long time ago) like ELO, Rush, Yes, Kiss, Skynyrd, Deep Purple, Dio, Boston, REO, Styx, Journey, Def Lep, Moody Blues, Chicago, Heart, Survivor, Scorpions, ELP, .38 Special, solo Stevie Nicks, Bad Co, Sweet & J. Geils Band do. I mean WTF does Mariah Frickin Carey have to do w/rock? Really!!

  • @spiderdragon1969 Last time I checked Rush was NOT in the RNRHOF.

  • @spiderdragon1969 totally agreee. elo should of been in the hall of fame the first year they were eligible. same with chicago.

  • @spiderdragon1969

The Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame is dead to me

  • @spiderdragon1969 Rush & Moody Blues aren't in yet - neither is Deep Purple, REO, Styx, Journey, Heart, Lynyrd Skynyrd, J. Geils Band or Scorpions.

  • @spiderdragon1969 I'll help bail you out! LOL, you are so right

  • @spiderdragon1969 All those bands should be happy they're not in the RnR HoF... I've been there, and it's AWFUL. Their CD store is good, though...

  • @spiderdragon1969 I agree with your comment! So many non-talents have made it into the HOF, yet this phenomenally talented group gets overlooked every effin year! It's a disgrace!

  • @spiderdragon1969 Def Leppard and KISS suck.

  • @spiderdragon1969 You forgot Rush, the best-selling Canadian artist of all time

  • Good God- what a BOSS tune. Like the Beatles on 'roids...

  • Similar structure to "Savoy Truffle" from the Beatles (white album). Very catchy.

  • Yes! Come On! ELO!!!

    Great Tune!!!

  • funny thing about this song ( & the whole record for that matter ) is that it reminds me of san bernardino & the mojave desert in s. California. I was 19 & in college & still hanging out on weekends with my friends from childhood who were from belfast , northern Ireland & brazil & argentina & Quebec ...quite a fun group cursing each other out in four languages & packing into the car on a summer friday night to head out to the desert & blasting this LP from the car stereo on cassette of course.

  • keep rocking my friend :3

  • One of the best songs ever.

  • If the Beatles went on for another 10 years, they would have sounded like this!!

  • Jeff lynn and Elo, wow to have his inspiration :3

  • More Cowbell!!! Actually I love this song... my copy of OOTB got lost in a move, and I had not heard this in over 20 years... glad to see it posted.

  • How ironic! A copy of an ELO album gets lost in "The Move"...

  • Yeah, true. Heard they were getting together again. Seems to be the year for that sort of thing.... I am going to the Mott the Hoople shows in October... and CAN'T WAIT!!!

  • Brilliant.

  • The best ever and forever

  • Was this ever released as a single in 1978? I can't remember for the life of me...

  • Has always been one of my fave's from OOTB. My mum used to say that funny synth bit in the middle sounded like a horse?!?! I told her to stick to Perry Como. Jeff is God.

  • A german electronc music group used this song for a track called "Insane". It's pretty cool.

  • One of the best songs from the great `Out Of The Blue' album. The harmonies are wonderful as usual.

  • I cannot stop singing this song. Long live the sweet pop genius of the shamefully underappreciated Mr. Jeff Lynne. He deserves to be knighted.

  • Best line..."because she miss-ed the boat." Every song on the album was great - ELO ROCKS !!!

  • Masterpiece

  • Splendid video. ELO rocks my world!!
