you should definitely use an OD green base coat because it will help the dark stripes show up and you wont see as much black. it also helps the gun blend better because OD green is seen more in forests.

when you shake the can like that you just fuck yourself over, the paint will become all fucked up, so i would suggest shaking it in a circular motion to avoid fucking up that paint, yes this can be annoying but hey you're a sniper you should have the patients to do anything, anyways when you're done with the painting turn the can over completely vertical where the top is facing the ground and spray until the colour stops spraying out, this will stop any clogging in the nosle.

Spray paint will work. Just make sure it is a matte finish, or your gun will shine in the light. Its also a good idea to seal it with non-gloss clear coat two or three times.

I find if you paint the stencils themselves with some Krylon plastic paint, it makes a plastic finish that protects and keeps it from breaking =)

Well that is relative. I'm assuming you mean putting ghillie on it with a ghillie suit. I have this exact gun and did just that. You'll make the gun invisible, but i found sometimes the ghillie would get in the way. I took it off and painted it again with a better style. Either way works. It depends on where you are and how you're playing. I'm actually about to re-ghillie mine lol
