I hate the new mini cooper design we have an 02 but when they redid the car in 05 they completely butchered the poitn of the "mini" its now way to big and has no unique features, such as the hood latch being on the right side not moved to the left for lhd cars.

Did you mean '07? The '05 and '06 models are still R53s (just different gearing and a few other tweaks). The '07 onwards are the newer (uglier) PSA powered, pedestrian-collision friendlier machines.
