Hey guys I'm selling my Omnisphere for a dam reasonable price!, I have all the cd's and box, booklets, everything brand new! email me here if interested: dexum175@yahoo.com ... serious inquiries please.
@solarwinter86 you can resample it then map it to a new sampler like kontakt or what ever you use but you can not import any audio into Omnisphere its a rompler/synth
@3dgod Ohhh i see. Thanks for the info. I was hoping you could create your own synth sounds using acoustic recordings similar to how they designed the preset patches themselves for Omnisphere.
@nazworkshop There's a detune option on most synths. With a little digging you can find it and turn it to 0.0, or just make your own patches. Absynth tends to detune a lot because of the nature of the sounds. They go through tons of filters and take on those filter's sounds, and that's the ethereal-ness of it. But if you make your own patches and have them cleaner or eq'd more evenly, they should be "on pitch"
Hey, have you guys seen the Windows 7 equipped StudioBLADE keyboard workstation? Its perfect for running all your favorite Windows compatible software and plug-ins! Click the link below for videos!
Hi ! I've followed instructions and installed all the 6 cds but I dont have nothing but a (42G) STEAM folder, a steinbeirg folder and some plugins.. but no synth to play music. Do I need a program like Reason or Ableton or FL studio or some to be able to use the synth or ?? I dont understand im lost and frustrated...can you help me ?? thanks !
You get crackling when the volume overloads you can turn that down and turn your amp up. if the latency is causing crackling set it higher and get a sound card that can do ASIO.
in your daw you can set in options latency thing set it to 10 instead of 5 and if your CPU is fast it will stop the crackeling also Omni overloads the volume in Ableton Live so that makes crackling if you dont lower omnis output volume. A pentum 4 wont cut it to run this synth so any cput equil to it will have a lot of latency and crackle.
you should really buy a midi controller ,take native instruments komplete 5 ,nexus ,edirol orchestra and omnisphere as well ...and than make realy good music...just an advice...i'm not a hater...peace man
i saw u said u had cracking and staic runiing vista. im running windows 7 on a brand new imac with 4 gb ram and 500 gb hard drive space that i partioned to the windows side..AND IM SO PPISSED CUZ I COULD BARELY MAKE A BEAT CUZ ITS CRACKING SO BAD!! I WAS TOLD TO SWITCH TO XP SP2, did it help a lot for you cuz i just ordered xp and im gunna be devestated if it doesnt lol..thaks
@UpNorthProductionsTV Dude it might not be Windows 7 the problem. Ive been using Sample Logic stuff that's very smilar to Omnisphere and these plugins are MEGA RAM hungry. You say you have 4 gig ram...not enough. Im in same boat too!
@mimoocho yeah lol i said fuck windows and FL studio i just am gunna use logic instead so now i dont have to partiion my harddrive and i can use 8 gigs of ram instead..i just installed omnisphere today and its crazy and no more problems!! lol
Loading sounds seems to take about 4 seconds. Just to have an idea of how that would be on my computer (Dual Core 2GHz, 3GB RAM), can you please say what's your CPU's processing power and RAM?
I'm about 1 month off being able to afford a dedicated imac for running ableton live, and Omnisphere appears to be the most fantastic softsynth available today, both for basic synths and Absynth-style sound-designed stuff. Although I'm curious precisely how CPU intensive it can be? Would it run comfortably along side sampler players like Kontakt (which are RAM hungry rather than CPU hungry)?
The crackling is latence. Irf your latency is low t, than it'll crackle... If your latency is too high, than it causes a delay from the point that you touch the key to the time that it plays. 350ms is great for mixing and reduces crackles... although, if you're playing keys, put it at a 75ms.
Wow it sounds just like any free synth yuo can get from any freebie website. It's cool though because they can charge hundreds of dollars and keep the economy flowing so that we can fight global wars and all that.
YouTube videos compress audio and limit to 10 minutes and as such do not do justice to this synth. You might do well to spend some time hearing and trying this for yourself - all the waveforms and raw samples, the patches and the performances & see how diverse they all are. Nothing against free synths but I think Omnisphere is worth paying for.
I cant speak for all Abletons, but on mine and my friends, some plugins do. I also use sonar and theres no problems with that. My opinion is they need a better audio engine

i love ableton but the engine is not good enough to show off what omnisphere is capable of. Logic pro at least.

@thegroove2000 It doesn't matter what DAW you work on, It's about your computer's performance.

@ScorchinBeats You are not alone, I dont actually hate it, but didn't find it amazing. The name "psychoacoustic" is quite misleading too...

Sounds like its running on a high latency you can set the latency in options.

Does Ableton cause crackling for synths? Cause if you can confirm this, it'll explain a lot for me :P
