It has nothing to do with your rank. the rank correlates with the match making system. The coding must register a neutral zone with a certain radias. As long as you are not within that boundaries they will respawn there. Secondly, it also depends on what are your perks. coldblooded (spawn campers) or marathon, light weight (spawn rushers)
if the guy you killed watch the whole killcam they are gonna spawn far away, if he skip the killcam very quicly he's gonna spawn right in front of you.
One time i was on highrise playing some TDM and the score was 7300 to 7400. I killed this guy who was camping and tied the score up 7400 to 7400, then I was about to kill this sniper i was on top of a building and win the game, but then the guy i just killed to tie up the score spawns behind me and kills me.

infinity ward made spawns very wierd on TDM what they did was they made people spawn on the opposite side but ur team was making a circle which forces the other team to spawn in the middle of ur team. and since you were killing evry1 they wanted payback so they kept coming up to you
Sub base is a broken map. It has the 2nd worst spawn system in the game. Only rust is worse. Some maps have decent spawns but alot of them are just awful.

I've spawned across the map from my team mates before behind the enemy, it's stupid. I was on Highrise a while ago and my team pushed up to the other side so then all the enemy were spawning on me instead of the middle of the map or something -.-

The point is he complains about killing someone and them spawn near him to get revenge. I think he says it's wrong to reward a player for getting killed......but seems to forget all that when he gets killed and spawns close to where he got killed to get revenge. I'm not having a go, just pointing out that it's bad when it happens to other people, but not when it happens to him. Like I hate getting killed by Commando, but think it's brilliant when I use it lol.

They reward shitty players for being shitty, like if a person dies 3 times in a row, instead of making them learn from their mistakes, they give you nearly tripled health for them to run around like retards and kill people.
The spawns is also what makes me rage quit and play Socom, There is no Combat flow, if you spawn at one side you should have to run to the other side for the enemy to start spawning behind you, not just have them run into the middle and have all the shit go down there
The opposite happens to me. I get killed by an enemy, and it will spawn me about 5 feet infront of where I died, and the enemy kills me again. Happens at least once per game I usually ragequit.
This is exactly why this game aggravates me. I would actually prefer to spawn all the way on the other side of map, as far away as to where the action is because I can just get their easily within a few seconds, just please don't spawn me where I died or in front of someones line of sight.

I've had guys spawn behind me within knifing distance and kill me in FFA... Rust is the worst spawns ever you could literally spawn on the same spot as someone else and turn and kill them.
Yeah... this is happening to me. Not only have they been spawning in right on top of me but the same guy has a 2nd 3rd 4th chance to avenge himself. When you kill the same guy over and over with a claymore you know something is up. And I know it's going on because I've been killed on Invasion... and then respawned diagonally of the guy and Killed him. He had no chance to defend himself. This is why they have that damn "PAYBACK" accolade.
This shit happens all the time on Invasion and Highrise. I get a claymore kill, and the jackass I killed is back almost before I can scavenger another claymore down. If I die on Derail, I'll spawn at the back of ths ski resort place...drives me nuts
Yeah... I've played Free for all at times and although I win the match... I get pissed that I had to die 20x as well simply because of respawns. Shit... I don't even like the replay's giving away my position at times.

I understand it's a team game...but it doesn't benefit anyone to go kill for kill was my point and that's happening a lot I look at both teams score at end of game. If you want to roll around in a group them do 2 man teams or something it's much more effective anyway.
man by what iv seen and heard im so glad I got this on ps3 and not xbox360. The 360 version has a lot more problems, (more glitches, hacked lobby's) not to say ps3 is perfect, ya we have nuke busters rarely, theres never been any glitched lobby's, sometime it will lag for no real reason but not that bad. My friend got it for the 360 and has not touched it in about 2 mounts because of all the crap going on with it.

I basically gave up MW2 as of late for other games, I'm tired of the spawn killing and being put TOO far away from the enemy. The care package glitch is ruining everything, and the balancing sucks unless you play hardcore in my opinion. I've been playing Bad Company 2 and don't know why F1sT thinks it sucks. It's better in every way to me. It just must be my kind of game.

I mean if IW would to put only cod4 maps on this game for a week, i really think ppl would appreciate this game more because, 1. rushing will be back (funner than cautious play imo) 2.smaller maps make for a more intense game 3. no more camping. imo

Happens to me all the time. I'll shoot somebody, get a streak, then I'll move forward a little bit, then get shot from behind. Sometimes it won't be a spawn at all, it'll be someone who had went around everything and ended up behind me, but usually they just spawned there

It's ridiculous that people are rewarded for dying and are able to get there own back by spawning near/behind you. The only way i would agree with that is if their skill level was low and they were getting owned.
I'm finding that the spawns aren't fucked up for me. But on Sub Base TDM I notice that literally only 1/2 the map is being played due to terrible spawns. Whenever SBTDM pops up for me I'll just vote or leave.

The opposite happens to me. I get killed by an enemy, and it will spawn me about 5 feet infront of where I died, and the enemy kills me again. Happens at least once per game I usually ragequit.

This is exactly why this game aggravates me. I would actually prefer to spawn all the way on the other side of map, as far away as to where the action is because I can just get their easily within a few seconds, just please don't spawn me where I died or in front of someones line of sight.

Uh, on Sub Base TDM everyone always spawns on the A flag side. Its taken you this long to realize this? You're a 10 prestige. Do you not play much TDM? This is old. Nice vid though.

I've had guys spawn behind me within knifing distance and kill me in FFA... Rust is the worst spawns ever you could literally spawn on the same spot as someone else and turn and kill them.

Yeah... this is happening to me. Not only have they been spawning in right on top of me but the same guy has a 2nd 3rd 4th chance to avenge himself. When you kill the same guy over and over with a claymore you know something is up. And I know it's going on because I've been killed on Invasion... and then respawned diagonally of the guy and Killed him. He had no chance to defend himself. This is why they have that damn "PAYBACK" accolade.

This shit happens all the time on Invasion and Highrise. I get a claymore kill, and the jackass I killed is back almost before I can scavenger another claymore down. If I die on Derail, I'll spawn at the back of ths ski resort place...drives me nuts

Yeah... I've played Free for all at times and although I win the match... I get pissed that I had to die 20x as well simply because of respawns. Shit... I don't even like the replay's giving away my position at times.

lol you probably hid in a popular place and the players were idiots running into there. And MW2 isn't meant to be super realistic with all the limitations. It is just a game. Like how you could reload a magnum so fast and how you could quick scope or RESPAWN??? How unrealistic is respawning? xD

Also in COD 4 when you noob tubed someone it didn't count as a kill for that particular gun in MW2 it does that's why so many people use it cause it's easier to unlock all the add ons for that weapon by running around noobtubing everyone. I don't have NT on any of my created classes.

I understand it's a team game...but it doesn't benefit anyone to go kill for kill was my point and that's happening a lot I look at both teams score at end of game. If you want to roll around in a group them do 2 man teams or something it's much more effective anyway.

man by what iv seen and heard im so glad I got this on ps3 and not xbox360. The 360 version has a lot more problems, (more glitches, hacked lobby's) not to say ps3 is perfect, ya we have nuke busters rarely, theres never been any glitched lobby's, sometime it will lag for no real reason but not that bad. My friend got it for the 360 and has not touched it in about 2 mounts because of all the crap going on with it.

yup spawns are terrible...I was playing on FFA on skidrow. Camping the room with the planted machine gun...I had claymores on both sides..23 kill streak for nuke...my "what should have been very first"nuke and a dude spawns right behind me!...in the room!

i agree, the spawns are turning me away from this game. at least a few times a game i will die from a nonsense spawn. countless times ppl spawn on my side or behind me, or i will spawn and get killed by the same guy 3 times in a row cos i spawn in his path.
MW2 FAILS: spawn points, glitches/hacks, and match making for australians, if i want green ping, i have to play mosh pit... i dont like mosh pit! maybe in 6 months this game will be good?

I don't know why but infinity ward took bad spawn system from MW and made it worse in MW2. They were supposed to improve the game not make it worse.

speaking of the spawn thing you were talking about. it busted me in 4 or 5 straight games. i would kill someone and then it would do to me like it did to you in that one area. also it was doing something to when i would get killed it would respawn me in the middle of the other team and i would get killed and it would do it about 5 times in a row before it would put me in a different place.

Honestly, it's just a game. Nothing is going be realistic no matter what the name suggests. Sure it's annoying but what I would've done is move away from their spawn instead of bitching of how their spawning on "your" side of the map. Dude, you're great and everything but this whole commentary was just garbage... Nothing is perfect and like you said, Infinity Ward can't please everyone... Even if they do fix something, there's still gonna be that whiny butt hurt fag complaining.

I basically gave up MW2 as of late for other games, I'm tired of the spawn killing and being put TOO far away from the enemy. The care package glitch is ruining everything, and the balancing sucks unless you play hardcore in my opinion. I've been playing Bad Company 2 and don't know why F1sT thinks it sucks. It's better in every way to me. It just must be my kind of game.

This my take on making MW2 funner as a game, one simple answer.. COD4 MAPS
I really believe that if they had smaller maps (or even put in some cod4 maps) that this game would be just like cod4 but better (w/ the added side guns, attachments etc..). I mean if IW would to put only cod4 maps on this game for a week, i really think ppl would appreciate this game more because, 1. rushing will be back (funner than cautious play imo) 2.smaller maps make for a more intense game 3. no more camping. imo

Happens to me all the time. I'll shoot somebody, get a streak, then I'll move forward a little bit, then get shot from behind. Sometimes it won't be a spawn at all, it'll be someone who had went around everything and ended up behind me, but usually they just spawned there

Definitely agree with you there fist. Yesterday on terminal, working up to a nuke and they spawn around me, wtf? It's ridiculous that people are rewarded for dying and are able to get there own back by spawning near/behind you. The only way i would agree with that is if their skill level was low and they were getting owned.

I'm finding that the spawns aren't fucked up for me. But on Sub Base TDM I notice that literally only 1/2 the map is being played due to terrible spawns. Whenever SBTDM pops up for me I'll just vote or leave.

just wanted to throw this out there.
last night i was playing TDM (i think it was on highrise) and i happened to spawn at the exact same time as an enemy.
we spawned FACING each other, and standing about 10 feet away.
he ended up killing me.
but i mean come on. theres no way in hell you should ever spawn ten feet from an enemy with him looking you dead in the face, its ridiculous
