No kidding. I just saw the original on hulu. This movie has some pretty big shoes to fill. Even though its more flashy and modernized, it just doesnt seem to have the charm that Matthau, Shaw (and even Jerry Stiller) gave the original.

Some action movies don't need to take themselves seriously. This is one of them. Plus, Robert Shaw was one of the finest actors who ever graced world cinema. John Travolta...isn't.
