For 40 years I thought this was Al Kooper singing, I have the CD and the vinyl I bought when I was 16.

I think that Steve Katz's best vocal was "Sometimes in Winter" from the following album.

@catman916 Well Al Cooper, was a tremendous Producer and Musician, and Player.... But Live and in Person Stev's Katz was a better vocalist Period." Listen to Sometimes in Winter" a richer Stronger voice than Al Kooper"s...

Child Is Father to the Man certainly was a great album. As a vocalist I prefer Al Kooper to Steve Katz, though Katz does a good job on this song.
