I use PVC Glue and a PVC Primer to glue PVC end caps onto the end of the stick. I pre-drill a hole in the top of one of the caps and use a sparkler for the fuse, it gives you plenty of time to get the hell out of there.

@ac23AQ They can be gold Or colored...The sparklers just have to contain MAGNESIUM. Most colored sparklers have magnesium, which is used mainly to add color..SO just make sure the sparklers you get have MAGNESIUM if you want to make it explode. Otherwise, it will just be a fountain.

morning glory sparklers are best to use cuz the powder burns faster then gun powder, and they are some what cheap, at phantom, fuse available at phantom as well, would not recommend igniting it on your street or around vauable objects like cars and people, they are very loud, dangerous, and illegal.

buy a pvc pipe, morning glory sparklers, fuse, and epoxy. empty out the sparkler tubes of all powder, pack the powder safely in the pvc tube, seal the tube with end caps that are super glued on w/one end cap predrilled hole fill up the remaining space with powder insert fuse fill again, place epoxy around the hole and fuse to seal, then have fun.
