I always imagined scenes in anime such as the fall of lucifer, that passage in Genesis 14 that Abram fight with 318 men against the four kings who fought against five and so on. It would be epic, and no doubt attract many young people and lovers of anime to know God and His Word so extraordinary!
I like this. I think it actually works very well how it is. Visuals is less about dialogue. And what happens here is accurate as how the story is told in the Gospel of Luke.
Interesting, before I always thought the demons drowned themselves because they were forced into that body not because they asked for it but the way this video puts it is that the spirit of the demons drove the swine to an insanity that made them drown themselves, otherwise the demons might not have been in such a mad rush to die unless it's simply in their personality. also, any loving person would've taken that blow into them, it's a concept you may not understand.
@icyth...wrong. The demons WANTED to be in a body, any body. Demons are extremely uncomfortable when not embodied. The demons BEGGED to be allowed to go into the pigs. The PIGS could not stand being possessed of demons and killed themselves rather than live with demons within. Pigs have not a spirit, but man does. In like manner, man must die to himself to rid himself of demons and be born again. (Jn 3:3) Ye must be born again. Those demons in man could be actual demons or sinful practices.
@icyth ...also...demons do not die....they are evil spirits...they cannot drown. The pigs died. The demons became disembodied. (without a body.....without a host or home). See Matthew 12:43, Luke 11:24.

In virtually every country in the world (except the USA and it's education system. Don't get me started.) ENGLISH is the required second language. English is the language of commerce. Children all over the world are taught English. The Holy Spirit gave us the English language....and God's Word in English. I AM not going to tell God he was wrong.

If so, I wouldn't have to learn the LOCAL language. Not 1/2 of the EU speaks Eng! Less than 1% of China & only 10% of India (world's 2 biggest populations) can speak Eng. Imagine remote nations! Therefore, at least part of the Bible has been translated into 3,000+ languages. Your claim about Eng is bizarre & ethnocentric! The HS gave ALL languages!
@KJVWordofGod The Bible was written first in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek...not English. Though it is a common language in most of the world, it is not the ONLY language that God speaks through. I love the idea that the intention is to translate this into many languages and not just the most common one.

This was only the concept piece for the final production which is anime. It is also on my channel. I hope you enjoy it. Eventually, I believe the producers plan to also tell the story in this video using anime. :)

If I could make a suggestion. I know it might look strange but, if budget allows it, maybe have something like a "cut" and "uncut" version. The cut version could have no blood what so ever. I mean, just incase a student such as myself suggests this to my bible teacher for something to watch in class. Yes I realize there is very little blood, but still, schools are funny about stuff like that. just a suggestion. By the way, this is very cool and I encourage the development of it.
I had trouble understanding the words when the demoniac was saying his name was legion, and the words the demos said after that when requesting to be sent into the pigs. An unbeliever or one unfamiliar with the story may have trouble understanding it unless there is also someone there to explain and discuss it.

I don't think enough people realize that one day every knee shall bow and every tongue proclaim that Jesus is Lord. Too many people focus on the gentle side of Jesus and lose sight that he is Almighty. I like how the video shows Jesus in his power.

I like the idea of the Gospels in Anime. I do hope you're not naiive enough to use the Jesus Film without adapting the story telling. Simply changing the presentation isn't enough. Find someone who knows how to write a coherent story, keeping it bliblically sound, or you won't reach your intended audience.
Think of the confrontation with the demoniac being more in line with a horror movie though. Don't make the legion act like effeminate males...
I have been waiting for an anime Jesus movie and I mean a good one, not like that "In the Beginning" series by Miyasaki. But more like the high quality anime that are on the market now. I believe is one of those high quality anime. Though I hope Legion doesn't talk that fast in the final cut, because he is hard to understand. Though I do like how you did his voice. Also, I hope you don't follow the movie to close. The original Jesus film is a little lacking in story on my opinion.
Very good, but if you are targeting the ages of the disciples at 30-40, keep in mind that the all of the disciples exept for Paul were probably teenagers. Keep up the good work!
I'm loving it. And some of u who left comments missed the point. This was just a concept and will be converted into anime. And no, Jesus should not have to dodge the legions, he's the most high. You have to stay true to the word and not get caught up in the action and desire of awesome fight scenes. Every scene can't be based on a showdown(but there are plenty of opportunities for more action packed scenes in the bible when converted to anime). This was perfect!
I am actually working on a claymation version of this--but it will also include the last part of chapter 4! I can't wait to see how this one turns out!
one more thing. i found it a bit anti-climactic for legion to charge jesus and then just freeze. i think it would be more true to the art form (as well as maintaining the energy) if he either a)made a couple of slashes with the rock that jesus dodges, after which legion then is paralyzed, or b) comes down with the rock but cant make contact, as if there were some invisable shield ie. holy ghost, protecting him.
I would recomend a few things. while i know this is only an animatic, i would recomend that you actually show the demons coming out of his body, second i would suggest the swine transforming in a bigger way than just the eyes whiting out. i would also like to draw atention to the fact that there is only one posessed man in this scene when in the matthew account has two. in the guardan you have a good oppertunity for a good fight scene between peter and the earless man.
Decent for a concept but has nothing to do with anime. Call it a cartoon instead.
FPS is horrible but frame rate can easily be made better even without rejecting current frames. Just needs time and work. Pseudo-3D parts looked good.
Lipsynch sucks. Lipsynching is so damn easy to do that even for a concept, it deserves more attention. Lipsynching doesn't need that many frames. Just 3 different mouth masks reused.
Like I said, it's a decent concept/scetch work. Even when it's done, it is still NOT anime as anime is by definition, Japanese. This is non-Japanese cartoon.

Manga Messiah isn't entirely accurate. I love Kozumi Shinozawa, but she made everyone liook European, not Jewish. Plus the only Hebrew names she used were Yosef, Miryam, and Yeshua.

If I could make a suggestion. I know it might look strange but, if budget allows it, maybe have something like a "cut" and "uncut" version. The cut version could have no blood what so ever. I mean, just incase a student such as myself suggests this to my bible teacher for something to watch in class. Yes I realize there is very little blood, but still, schools are funny about stuff like that. just a suggestion. By the way, this is very cool and I encourage the development of it.

I had trouble understanding the words when the demoniac was saying his name was legion, and the words the demos said after that when requesting to be sent into the pigs. An unbeliever or one unfamiliar with the story may have trouble understanding it unless there is also someone there to explain and discuss it.

I like the idea of the Gospels in Anime. I do hope you're not naiive enough to use the Jesus Film without adapting the story telling. Simply changing the presentation isn't enough. Find someone who knows how to write a coherent story, keeping it bliblically sound, or you won't reach your intended audience.
Think of the confrontation with the demoniac being more in line with a horror movie though. Don't make the legion act like effeminate males...

I have been waiting for an anime Jesus movie and I mean a good one, not like that "In the Beginning" series by Miyasaki. But more like the high quality anime that are on the market now. I believe is one of those high quality anime. Though I hope Legion doesn't talk that fast in the final cut, because he is hard to understand. Though I do like how you did his voice. Also, I hope you don't follow the movie to close. The original Jesus film is a little lacking in story on my opinion.

I'm loving it. And some of u who left comments missed the point. This was just a concept and will be converted into anime. And no, Jesus should not have to dodge the legions, he's the most high. You have to stay true to the word and not get caught up in the action and desire of awesome fight scenes. Every scene can't be based on a showdown(but there are plenty of opportunities for more action packed scenes in the bible when converted to anime). This was perfect!

one more thing. i found it a bit anti-climactic for legion to charge jesus and then just freeze. i think it would be more true to the art form (as well as maintaining the energy) if he either a)made a couple of slashes with the rock that jesus dodges, after which legion then is paralyzed, or b) comes down with the rock but cant make contact, as if there were some invisable shield ie. holy ghost, protecting him.

I would recomend a few things. while i know this is only an animatic, i would recomend that you actually show the demons coming out of his body, second i would suggest the swine transforming in a bigger way than just the eyes whiting out. i would also like to draw atention to the fact that there is only one posessed man in this scene when in the matthew account has two. in the guardan you have a good oppertunity for a good fight scene between peter and the earless man.

Decent for a concept but has nothing to do with anime. Call it a cartoon instead.
FPS is horrible but frame rate can easily be made better even without rejecting current frames. Just needs time and work. Pseudo-3D parts looked good.
Lipsynch sucks. Lipsynching is so damn easy to do that even for a concept, it deserves more attention. Lipsynching doesn't need that many frames. Just 3 different mouth masks reused.

Or do like they did with Yami no Teio: Kyuuketsuki Dracula. That has a "different" view of Jesus.
Dracula stole the Devil's bride, made her pregnant, had a son. Son died during a fight Dracula vs. Satan. God resurrected Dracula's son, who appeared to be a Superman with halo over his head.
It is still probably the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen in TV and probably the most blasphemous thing ever. I'm not sure if creators actually tried to make it that way or if they just failed.

Manga Messiah isn't entirely accurate. I love Kozumi Shinozawa, but she made everyone liook European, not Jewish. Plus the only Hebrew names she used were Yosef, Miryam, and Yeshua.

Just because some Manga and Anime characters have unrealistic hair-styles and colors, doesn't mean that when one is drawing a historical epic, he or she can draw inaccurately. I never said there was anything wrong with using Hebrew, I actually support it, I was saying that if you use one Hebrew name, why not make everything else Hebrew? Yes, I enjoy the series myself, I'm just saying that there is room for accuracy.

Maybe, but I must remember that some histories, take place in japan, and the characters don't look japanese at all, and no one says anything about it, then why start it with manga messiah?
why not? I don't know, but that's not something to think about, I really like the names they have already.
People need to learn to enjoy, not to critisize (or wharever you spell it)

I'm not arguing with you. Seriously? All these names that you like already ar Anglicized versions of Hebrew and Greek, so basically your saying that the Hebrew and Greek don't exist.
I do enjoy, I'm very fond of Manga, otherwise I wouldn't have a manga collection. Criticize, I mispell words all the time.

I love this little clip, but please, please, please don't miss the chance to correct a big problem with the Jesus film: Jesus is too white! Please use this opportunity to make Jesus look more like a Jew living in the first century Middle East.

yeah ur right. usually Jesus is depicted as a white guy with blond hair, blue eyes, etc. ethnically he was jewish, so he wouldn't look like that at all. lol

I filled out the survey.... and design 4 was the best out of the 5. Just a thought.
I fear that the Legion of Anonymous may stumble upon this video.I hope not.
Still, it's an intriguing idea, so I'll be patient. Though, out of curiosity, will this film be watchable for all denominations ? (particularly catholicism in mind)
