Sunset/Night Flight Southern California - Piper Archer III

I would love a Piper Archer when I get my PPL (I will need to get Instrument ratings ASAP when I do that, knowing the weather in Scotland), but the majority of aircraft are way out of my price range. Do they do Finance (Paying in instalments) in the Aviation world with Aircraft like these?

I <3 N253FD , I gurentee you that plane will be check out most of the time by me. Took her up with the awsome Joe Justice for my first lesson on sunday , I did takeoff and got help from Joe for landing (I have lots of knowledge about planes thanks to fsx). Your girlfriend is like N253FD Archer to me haha xD

Why did you takeoff with the "Low Fuel" light on?

@ecuber11 the plane had full tanks, that low fuel indicator is just an electronic device not coupled in anyway to the fuel tanks. It's like a tachometer that you setup that helps you calculate your fuel remaining in time. Much like the Cirrus, which has the same (not connected to fuel tanks).

are you even IFR rated in this video? for the instrument rating you have to have at least 50 hours of cross country time..you have 53 total so i doubt you could be IFR rated yet.

In the US, you can night fly VFR with PPL, it does not need to be IFR.

US FAA Regs say you must have done at least 3 take of and landings to a full stop in the proceeding 90 days to fly passengers at night under VFR. So it's legit.

Oh, I got your point, he came back IFR, but it was probably with his instructor which is probably rated IFR and CFI2. Mine were rated both CFI 1 and 2. And we flew several times dual that could have required us to go IFR, it gets you experience in less that optimal weather. It taught me to avoid crappy weather!! LOL!

because at about 3:30 hes talking about the cloud layer at 1000 ft and how they are going to fly through the clouds on the way back..where im from we have to stay 500 ft below the ceiling. he may be talking about broken or scattered layer..but when he says we are going to fly back on instruments it makes me thing he is flying on instruments....just saying..

there is something called an intercom. Most planes have them. There are better ways to get tower on the camera tough. I use a special cable that connects to the headset speaker jack.

I started training in a Cessna 150 Aerobat in Febuary this Year and have only clocked up about 4 and 1/2 hours love every minute of being up there the only thing lacking is the beutiful veiws like you get from your plane.

I have to edmit that you have somewhat inspired me i'm hopeing to work my way up to comercial and maybe ATPL.
