i suffered a debilitating crash while dirt jumping i hit my head so hard that i suffered from multiple bruises to my brain that caused me to stop riding but when i woke up in the hospital the next day i automatically thought of you and how close i was to what you did and i have thought of you everyday since and how lucky we both are and i hope you get some movement back and possibly even ride again

This is so sad....I use to BMX and even though its a dangerous sport and crashes happen all the time, you usually get up w/scrapes and bruises and maybe even a broken bone or two! God Bless your strength and faith!
What is this? It is terrible and I wish this guy the best after this disaster. But if you are a thrillseeker and all these guys are someday somebody gets badly hurt, that's part of being addicted to the adrenaline rush after you did something nobody thought was humanily possible. That's make you a hero, you get money and applause. But alle these heroes know they take huge risks. The real winners are the brands which these guys endorse.
Stephen Murray is a true inspiration to the bmx world! And he always will be! I broke down in tears when I saw this video..about a year later he inspired me enough to where I painted my bike saying "Stephen Murray the true bmx legend" on the bottom tube..he will recover and ride someday again! i got out of the whole bmx community just before this happened. but when i heard about this and the Mike Aitken accident i got really sad. Murray was one of the greatest competitors in the world and had a bright future. i remember thinking to myself about how everything was getting so big so fast. bigger jumps, more flips and spins, its just sad that this happened.
i think not having the full video of murray crashing is not a good idea. any sport that does backflips like that will learn from mistakes and have a better understanding of the dangers of doing shit like that. i hope murray will walk again.
@enjoi123412 - he was trying a double flip man, so long as you commit to the flip youll hopefully not parrelise yourself, a backflip compared to a double is completely different !
He went for the double flip and his foot slipped off the pedal half way round the second flip and landed on his back/neck/head and now he's paralysed.
yeah he pretty on the second flip his feet kinda just peeled of the pedals and he went down head first. it's a miracle he even made it. he's such a strong soul and a true inspiration.

i remember when i first seen stephen at the x games in 2001 winning the gold and i liked him since then. watching this video broke my heart, im having trouble keeping my tears in, and seeing all the riders coming together and showing thier respects to stephen made me realise what a great sport i was a part of and makes me want to get back on my bike and start shredding the ramps again. and i am going to. and to stephen, keep strong bro, dont give up.

Wishbonesucks. we get it, you're a 12 year old kid, you bully people at school, your dad left your mom, and your mom makes 10 thousand dollars a year. you're really living a shitty life, hope someday you'll grow up and be able to show some respect.
