  • gostei da musica força mbilia.tu es a unica

  • Living sometime in Lomé in 1985 i listened a lot of times to this song with the children of the compound. Now my melancholy is terrible when i hear her sing. And how lovely she looks! We europeans don't have this kind of music. And this kind of women, unfortunately.

    Magda from Holland/Portugal

  • Oh My Goodness, this song use to be my favorite french song even though I don't understand what she is saying, I really love this song, I first heard this song in 1991 in my early teenage years in Ghana, My landlord daughter-inlaw will always play this song for me just to get my attention because she wanted to be my friend desperately,Gosh what a good memory this song has reminded me.

  • Boya ye is thebest

  • THIS SONG BROUGHT ALOT OF MEMORIES, I WAS SO LITTLE WHEN 1ST CAME OUT.

  • Mes années Lycées

  • My favorite Mbilia song is Nakei Nairobi with Rochereau. Did you know that Moi, president of kenya, banned all foreign music from public radio but when Rochereau composed this little number modified to praise him, the ban was promptly lifted:-) I now can see why Tabu ley ended up being a politician!

    Check it out....

    watch?v=5D5kq-BqeYE

  • peace i never knew that. thanks for the tidbit! :D

  • NOT TRUE. No such thing happened. I lived in kenya right through Moi's rule (except the last 2 years), and we listened to all sorts of foreign songs on VOK - the only radio channel through the 80's - all the time. In fact, from around '82 to '88, about 40% of songs played through the day on VOK Swahili service were Franco & TPOK Jazz songs.

And about 'Nakei Nairobi', a special version was made in 1988 for Moi's 10 year anniversary ('twende nairobi tumwimbie baba Moi...") thus the popularity.

  • It is easy now to understand why the Congolese community in London does not want Koffi Olomide and his like to perform in UK.

  • Mbilia looked like she was on drugs that night. Where is her legendary smile?

  • She was expressing what she is singing...SHE WAS ACTING IT is a SAD SONG about a woman who is maried to a man that she loves but evryone is mocking her because the pseudo husband is so so so poor, a wife without clothes peoples are gosiping and asking her to run away, then she answered nomatter what she will not leave her husband because he is the father of her children ». I think my translation is right

  • LMAO

  • seriously .. that is too funny.

  • TRANSLATION "Kick him to the curve" The whole world is mocking me ...telling me to "Kick him to the curve!" They ask: "What kind of man do you have? No Job, No House, No dignity, No Salary?" But you stuck with me, taking it all in I wear thorn up clothes, dear Panzu And worn up dresses. I'll get used to it. I'll take it all in... because I love my Man! They can badmouth all they want I won't give up on you, Panzu. You're the father of my children... and my other Half.

  • Answer to edimol

brother I suggest to buy a new computer if you can afford it, because adding memory chip to your computer requires some understanding of what kind of pc forexample (pc 100, pc 270 etc) to know what kind of memory chip to buy and knowing how to install it

    thanks

  • ma beutiful aunt used to love dis song ...well i guess she still does lol

  • Hello everybody. What program should I instal in my computer so that I watch the images of the videos not in slow motion (not au ralenti as we say in French). Please help.Eddie.

  • try to explain to me exactly what you want, maybe i can give you some advice

  • In fact I want to see the videos normally in normal speed, but I am watching them like in slow motionwith music stopping each time.Could you help?

  • All you need is to put extra Ram in your pc. You have 512Mb Ram, i suppose. If you double that(put in another 512Mb then you'll have 1024Mb) you will be suprised how quick it will pick up. A friend of mine had the same problem, solved same way.

  • Where is the location for the RAM in the computer?I can't remenber

  • On your motherboard, that's where you find your ram. Depending on your computer, you may have 2 to several RAM Slots. Ram is a small, long plate and again depending on your comp. type, it may be placed between the cpu and the sound card slots etc.

  • it was real nice conservations ... :) Better tell to take the computer to the service. He can put RAM while the comp is ON and RAM will fly away.

    Dady, Rennes

  • je ne trouve plus mpongo love

  • qetolco

  • Sensuel music wraped by a sensuel voice...whatelse!

  • Both Mbilia and Mpongo are great singers - voices of both, very soothing. However, the apparent advantage Mbilia enjoyed over Mpongo was the backing of Seigneur Rochereau; that is where all the diference stems from. Nevertheless, Mpongo was unquestionably a lady of finesse (a true songster) moreso taking into account the challenging circumstances that she had to operate within. May her soul rest in peace.

  • << Boya ye = Dump him!!! But how could I says the woman? He is all I have. He is all i care for...>>

  • Whatever happened to that beautiful shiny dark skin?

  • Super, Merci j'adore la musique congolaise ancienne.

    Kitoko trop.

  • I se ki toko, thx for posting

  • Please can somebody who speaks Lingala write this song for me?

  • This lady is the best in the world. Her songs are moving. Infact she remains Congo's cultural heritage for generations. The first time i heard this song was 1990, 5yrs after she released it. That was in Cairo. It reminds me of Congo under Patrice Lumumber who the west wickedly murdered using the cursed Mobutu.

  • I have watched this video hundrends of times. Each time I am riveted to the screen in awe of singer's grace, poise, dance movements, and elegance. I have watched her other videos, but none in my view matches this one. I don't understand Lingala, but I wish someone could translate for me the lyrics in English."Boya Ye" seems to telling a story. What is it about? Watching the video is psychedelic(minus drugs) experience for me.Meccahigh, please help.

  • peace okono. the song is about a woman who is dealing with a poor man. everyone is telling her she should leave him alone. she tired of avoiding him (boya ye means avoid him) and is tired of hiding the truth. he's the father of her child. i translated the song word for word but it won't fit. but that's the gist of the song. PEACE :)

  • p.s. if you check the clip of mpongo love singing zonga (posted by the great innosita) you will see too that though mpongo didnt move her legs she still had moves!

  • kindu na nazadanze...they're both beautiful and great artists in their own right. no need for the competition as mpongo love is no longer with us (r.i.p.) and mbilia still continues to make great music. they are both a great part of congolese heritage and i respect them both greatly. peace.

  • I mentioned a fact, there is no debate. Mpongo came before Mbilia. I respect both of them, I love Mbilia Bel... oh yes!

  • Mpongo was way a head of Mbilia. She had her own band. On top of that she was physically challenged that's why she didn't dance!

  • without a doubt, she is the greatest Congolese musician. Maybe, and i mean , maybe...Mpongo Love could pose a lil challenge. But Mbilia is UNIQUE, charismatic - and what DIVINE BEAUTY?????

  • If I can see this video on demand like this it means I'm rich.

  • Very captivating piece, leaving a lasting impression.

The deleberate small twitches, the alluring look, and accompanying rhythm is hard to beat

  • word. her dancing/movement is always on point. i love it!

  • Boyaye!!! A cool song!!! Could anyone post the song "Nakei Nairobi" or "Iyolela"? They remind me of the "real" Mbilia Bel. I mean the lady in her prime!

  • peace. this song is great. i wish her mic levels were higher but it's still a great performance and the picture quality is not too bad either. i ripped this from off putfile. i wonder if the person has more videos up on putfile. they were 'anonymous'. *shrug*
