Honestly, I wouldn't dive in a pool if I knew an HIV+ person had bled in it. It's not worth the risk. However the rage I have seen in the comments below is annoying. The guy being HIV+ has nothing to do with the fact he was gay. So homosexuality is a different story. @dimidola Chances are you probably have without realising it. But with HIV it is not just blood but all body fluids, tears, saliva, semen, urine & faeces can all carry the virus. But I wouldn't worry too much out side of the human body HIV is a very fragile virus and will not survive for a second in a chlorinated swimming pool. Indeed it the virus would have a hard time surviving in a non-chlorinated pool.
