Also , since you're in Australia, If you ever find another one of those gentle and docile spiders, you can tell yoursef that as long as this big spider occupies the territory, there won't be any other species of spiders around like the Red Backs or Funnel Webs Witch are also found in Australia and are much more dangerous to humans. Huntsman spiders should be seen as a human's ally or friend . Same thing for Crab spiders and Wolf Spiders and a few other witch are totally harmless to us :-)...
Thats a sad video, those spiders can be handled like hamsters . They make great pets if you like large spiders. And again if you don't mind spiders, they can make great guardians for your house against a whole bunch of pest insects such as roaches , moths or house flies and many more annoying bugs...

Poor spider!!! Huntsman spiders are far from lethal... first aid recommendations for a huntsman spider bite is to apply a cold pack!!!!! If you leave this beautiful spider alone he will keep your house free of other disgusting instects!!!

Are you sure it's lethal? This is what I got from Wikipedia on Huntsmans:
In general, Huntsman spiders are not regarded as dangerous. There have been reports of members of the genus Neosparassus (formerly called Olios) giving bites that have caused prolonged pain, inflammation, headache, vomiting and irregular pulse rate; however, a scientific study into the bite of these spiders did not note any severe or unusual symptoms resulting from confirmed Neosparassus bites

on crawled up my leg the other day when i wash washing my dog. haha i was like shit something is on my leg,, oh well. then i felt it crawl, i looked and saw it there. i screamed like a bitch. but i just shook my leg and let it run away. a ghecko will probably eat it anyway

grey huntsman spiders arent deadly at all, they are fearful of humans and a bite will only cause pain and mild swelling, i like the little champ's because they stay up all night catching cockroaches, which i've gotta say, bother me more.
