Alan Moore's deriding of Ayn Rand's Objectivist Philosophy without giving any prior knowledgeable unbiased exposition of what it actually is betrays his unfair oversimplification and misrepresentation of such a belief. He speaks more on speculation then concludes from this which is really unfair.
It's sad how he makes Dove look so pathetic on the covers. I prefer the Justice League Unlimited version where he was willing to fight when he needs to and brothers have a bickering respect for each other.
@YaoiHuntressEarth Why....are you so hostile and haughty to an honest artist's work whenever you wave your Almighty fan-doggish cartoon show at everything else that you consider inferior? Seriously, it's like some kind of holy sacred cow to you.
@Diakron79 I don't consider it a sacred cow, just that Dove seemed so strawman in the comics and strawmaning is not the way to get a point across. And it was nicer to see a more balanced aspect and from what I recently looked up, it was nice that after the second issue. I respect what Ditko did, but it feels kind of tragic that he shut himself off so much from what the special said.
I have a lot of respect for Steve Ditko. I admire people who stick to their guns and don't sell out. I wish more people in the world had his integrity. I don't agree with his poltical views but I respect them.
@iDraw3G There aren't any Native Americans or Asian people either - I take your point, but in some circles it's not multi-ethnic, in this case I think this is the reason.
@Almuric7 I'm black this has nothing to do with race. It's a simple breakdown of the so called moral dichotomy, that being, there is black , white and a grey that increases in tone the closer you get to the black and white moral spheres. By Ditko's rational there is no grey you are good or evil, there is no half way. I disagree with that as most would. I'll give you a simple question. Do you think killing is wrong?Is killing an evil man wrong? The second question lays in the grey.
Your question evades the issue. Killing in itself is not necessarily wrong (killing to defend your self or children). The problem is in initiating aggression against someone who has not threatened you (which is murder not just killing).
@FREEDONUT1776 even that evades the question: the guy threatens you based on his idea of right and wrong. if you agree you back away. If you don't agree you fight. How do you know whether his morality is correct or yours? who's to say who's correct?
who's to judge property rights and who lives where?
You can know your view of rights is correct because nature requires you to obtain sustenance to live as an individual. It requires you obtain land (at the least so you have somewhere to stand) and when you mix your labor with the earth you make it your property. No one can claim the right to the product of your labor. Likewise you own your body and I won't accept someone claiming the "right" to impose on that as a matter of opinion. Who's to judge?
Thats not true. HE never gave credit to Kirby for all the stories he wrote either, Stan just added script to stories entirely created by Jack. The Galactic story is a classic. Jacks brief was Lets have the FF meet God. Jack came back with the amazing Galactus and silver surfer stories and Stan added a script. Nowhere was Jack credited as creator or writer.
@believerornot Ummmm YES HE DID,,,,,in many interviews Jack has said he was given credit,....that feud thing between jack and stan was a myth, the feud was between jack and marvel because martin goodman wanted marvel to keep rights to all of jacks artwork......
@believerornot alot of the marvel comics in the 60's say stan writer jack/dick/roy/steve co-plottter...i have about 20,000 comics mostly marvel from the 60's to the present, do your research
@harveydents : That's not true at all... Lee only gave Kirby/Ditko credit AFTER other scholars pointed out the obvious... read "Origins of Marvel Comics" to see Lee's original breakdown of credit before being called out by comics historians and journalists...

@FREEDONUT1776 haha
and how do you know how much land to 'obtain'?
rationality=logic
all logic is based on premise
premise is belief.
who gets the really sweet spot of land?
not enough to go round...

Ross is wrong here, Stan ALWAYS gave credit to Kirby, busecma, romita, colon and yes even ditko.....ROss is totally off here

yeah definetly.But at the same time i always thought Stan Lee was the one only who created him.Don't think that's his fault though...

Still I guess old people get mixed up huh?
