I'm a man and let me add that there are women who are very confident in themselves and independent in public, but in private, have a poor body image in intimate settings. Confident and independent women that truly believe it's" bad", or "dirty" to be sexual, or sensual. Afraid and shy to touch themselves for pleasure. Getting them to hate men was only a part of this process. They still encourage them to get married but only to divorce the man and drain him of assets.
It has been shown that 50% of marriages end in divorce and 70% of those divorces were initiated by women.

I keep hearing the same advice again and again about being independent and confident. Of course a total lack of confidence and neurotic needyness is unattractive, but the opposite-being too independent and self centered- is also not attractive, and lately American girls are showing a lot of the latter. I also see feminism rearing its ugly head in this.
Men want a feminine woman who acts like a woman (too often rare these days) and makes him feel like a man (also too rare these days).

I've been brought up in a very matriarchal family where all the women are strong, independent, incredibly well-read/spoken and educated and have travelled the world extensively. Yet, being a young woman, I find it difficult to find a man "superior" to me. As happy as I am being who I am, I find that attitude you mentioned a load of rubbish- I will not be punished because my strengths emasculate a potential suitor.

Women of this age are indeed a bit too self centered (they've misconstrued independent and self confidence) and many men of this age are sort of not very man-like (they've misconstrued being more sensitive..mostly because of the feminizing of American society). I agree men truly want a woman to be a effeminate, no more of this 'one of the guys' shit I keep seeing. She needs to enjoy herself as a woman.

Most men only like to give if the women is as willing to give as he is. For the women who don't, the man she is with in time begins to loathe her for it. Sex only gets a man so far, after awhile more is required, and when the woman is not willing to give more, thats when the relationship gets bumpy. Which in most cases causes the relationship to walk off a cliff so to speak.
