  • Victor Borge was one of the best, if not THE best, and the consummate, pianist and comedian.

    In Pace Requiescat, Maestro.

  • If anyone ever doubts the genius and technique of Jim Henson, watch the video again and think about how difficult it would be to make Rowlf's "paws" hit the right notes at the right time.

  • There were three Bachs you know Johann Bach, Sebastien Bach - and Offen Bach - I often Bach Myself HAHAHAHA God Bless You Victor Borge!! and Rowlf too!!!

  • THE great Dane

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Rowlf is the coolest leathernose around

  • at least my 'bach' is worst than my bite! and i 'offen bach', u know!

  • haha.. "a talking dog?" I like how it just suddenly hits Victor in the middle of playing

  • smthing by Bark=Bach Hahahahah LOL

  • Hahahahah! This got me teary eyed! Thanks Youtube and the uploader, I can watch this skit!

  • 3:13 to 3:25 Rolf's ears crack me up!

  • The muppets had alot of guest on the show. Some of them you'd have to ask why given what they were into. As for Victor Borge, this was right up his alley. I really enjoyed the bunch of them while I was growing up.

  • 2:58 "This is really the way it goes! ::slap:: *ding* 'WOOF!'" LOL, wtf!?

  • That must have required some interesting puppet work to pull off, especially when they were working around each other.

  • man viktor is a hunk a hunk man he is handsome

  • I kind-of wonder if that fiddle joke was ad-libbed. Victor seemed unusually tickled by the punch line, and he's usually good about not laughing at his own jokes.

Man, I miss these two. Jim Henson and Victor Borge.

  • well, you can't forget chico from the marx brothers in funny pianists

  • The world's funniest pianists performing together. Love it.

  • Rolf was one of my faves! "My Bach is worse than my bite!" HAHAHAHA!

  • i like it

  • Great to see a dog enjoying himself so much.

  • 3:04 woof! LOL

  • i love it when he plays it right & when he tries to make us laugh . I miss it

  • Brush up on my "Muppet history"?

Sereously dude, my comment was only social. I won't be brushing up on "the history of the muppets" anytime soon lol. But thanks for the lowdown.

  • @razers1 Dude, I don't think that Rogen was even BORN when they were filming this.

  • @AngelusDlion Yeah, i think you're probably right. It sure does sound like him though.

  • "Sometimes I fiddle around" -- Frank Oz has the best ad-libs. A perfect fit to Jim Henson's genius and creativity.

  • Does anyone else think that Seth Rogan provided the voice of the dog?? Google has failed to provide me evidence of this, but i have no doubt in my mind.

  • @razers1

    Seth Rogen? Seriously?

You need to brush up on your Muppets history. This show was taped three years before Rogen was born. Jim Henson did the original voice for Rolf the dog, and Rowlf was one of his earliest characters. Frank Oz was one (both?) of Rowlf's hands, while Henson worked the mouth and did the voice.

  • He was a great dane and american!

He saw the sun dawn in denmark and set in america, the last flight must have been melancolic!

His last journey was pretty awesome!

  • "Well, I chase cats sometimes. I hope that's okay with you." LOL Victor was so great.

  • Guter Alter Humor ;D ich liebe es

  • "I have a bone to pick w/ you! They gave me my fee for my performance and look what I got!" :: takes out bone :: Kermit: "Oh, you must've gotten Rolf's" Rolf: "Hot dog! I just got a raise!"

  • @callinkermit "I have worked for peanuts before... peanuts!"

  • Always liked Rolph.

  • @MichelleAbrahmz I remember Rolf from the old Jimmy Dean show when I was little.

  • this is the kind of comedy they need back on TV

  • @tsurugikage To quote "That's Entertainment:" boy, do we need it now!

  • "He's a witty dog!" Love it!

  • And he's cute too.

  • @TsWade2 ;-)

  • Yes?

  • VICTOR BORGE FOREVER!!!!! :D

  • Thats why you should not play piano with your dogs.

  • haha laughed so hard, especially at the cadenza part lolz took me forever to learn it

  • hello , i love this is really funnny ...lol lol lol can u please tell me what is the name of this song that he is playing ?

  • It's in the description "Victor Borge plays hungarian rhapsody no. 2. From the muppet show. "

  • well if i can think of something that might be as wonderful as this to look at on youtube in the nevxt 5 years I'll be glad suppose that'll be Disney Jungle Book.

  • A pure gift to humanity he will be missed.

  • Both Borge and Henson.

  • I AGREE BOTH ARE MISSED VERY DEARLY.

  • No you didnt. You just like to post stupid posts.

  • "Sometimes I fiddle around."

    Heh. Clever.

  • My Bach is worse than my bite.

  • One of my FAVORITE combintations..Victor Borge and the Muppets!

  • i love Victor Borge....lol....i saw in live in Toledo a year before he died.

  • hilarious good clean fun. (^_^)

  • Johann, Sebastian, Offen

  • Victor Borge and the Muppets. I miss them both! THAT was entertainment.

  • I really miss Muppet Show :/

It's only 7 season in total ( it's much though ^^ ) 5 season - Muppet Show and 2 season - Muppets Tonight for honor to Jim Henson. ( Well, i think it was ^^" )

  • But you also got movies and that, so theres there even more than i said ^^" And they did a episode for Honor Jim, but i'll say that everything that was did without Jim was a honor to him, so yeah ^^"

  • In regards to this joke, he said that there was Johann, Sebastian, and Offen"Bach". But there actually are a few composers with the last name of Bach and all from the same family and Jacques Offenbach was a famous French composer, whose original name was Jacob Offenbach.

  • The five famous Bach composers are Johann Sebastian, Johann Christian, Johann Cristophe, Wilhelm Friedemann, and Carl Philipp Emanuel. And also, Johann Sebastian's eldest son Gottfried Heinrich, although said to be mentally handicapped, was said to have played the piano very well.

  • Well that's killed that joke stone dead.

  • love the teirce de picardie at 2:34 (minor t major or vice versa) wish i could play tht wellxx

  • Are they really playing with the correct notes? ;)

  • "Ladies and gentlemen, there appears to be a dog on the stage!"XD!

  • THAT DOG IS A VIRTUOSO!

  • this is gr8! hungarian rhapsody #2 is reallly hard to play! xxxxx

  • DUDE IS AWSOME!!!

  • I always said that it looked like Rowlf was playing. Now I guess he is if it's a real piano.

  • I agree: thank you for posting: I loved Victor Borge when I was a kid, and it's nice to see that this stuff is still fun years later.

  • cool. i am proud, this video is online again. than you
