If anyone ever doubts the genius and technique of Jim Henson, watch the video again and think about how difficult it would be to make Rowlf's "paws" hit the right notes at the right time.
There were three Bachs you know Johann Bach, Sebastien Bach - and Offen Bach - I often Bach Myself HAHAHAHA God Bless You Victor Borge!! and Rowlf too!!!
The muppets had alot of guest on the show. Some of them you'd have to ask why given what they were into. As for Victor Borge, this was right up his alley. I really enjoyed the bunch of them while I was growing up.
I kind-of wonder if that fiddle joke was ad-libbed. Victor seemed unusually tickled by the punch line, and he's usually good about not laughing at his own jokes.
Man, I miss these two. Jim Henson and Victor Borge.
Does anyone else think that Seth Rogan provided the voice of the dog?? Google has failed to provide me evidence of this, but i have no doubt in my mind.
You need to brush up on your Muppets history. This show was taped three years before Rogen was born. Jim Henson did the original voice for Rolf the dog, and Rowlf was one of his earliest characters. Frank Oz was one (both?) of Rowlf's hands, while Henson worked the mouth and did the voice.
"I have a bone to pick w/ you! They gave me my fee for my performance and look what I got!" :: takes out bone :: Kermit: "Oh, you must've gotten Rolf's" Rolf: "Hot dog! I just got a raise!"
well if i can think of something that might be as wonderful as this to look at on youtube in the nevxt 5 years I'll be glad suppose that'll be Disney Jungle Book.
It's only 7 season in total ( it's much though ^^ ) 5 season - Muppet Show and 2 season - Muppets Tonight for honor to Jim Henson. ( Well, i think it was ^^" )
But you also got movies and that, so theres there even more than i said ^^" And they did a episode for Honor Jim, but i'll say that everything that was did without Jim was a honor to him, so yeah ^^"
In regards to this joke, he said that there was Johann, Sebastian, and Offen"Bach". But there actually are a few composers with the last name of Bach and all from the same family and Jacques Offenbach was a famous French composer, whose original name was Jacob Offenbach.
The five famous Bach composers are Johann Sebastian, Johann Christian, Johann Cristophe, Wilhelm Friedemann, and Carl Philipp Emanuel. And also, Johann Sebastian's eldest son Gottfried Heinrich, although said to be mentally handicapped, was said to have played the piano very well.
Victor Borge was one of the best, if not THE best, and the consummate, pianist and comedian.
In Pace Requiescat, Maestro.

"Sometimes I fiddle around" -- Frank Oz has the best ad-libs. A perfect fit to Jim Henson's genius and creativity.
