Probably the best ending. The Tong ending just seemed like simple idealism and I'm sure I can trust an A.I. running the world. The world has been ruled by secretive old men since the start of the 20th century, better to retain the status quo than plunge the world into chaos.
@Herpderpize an AI is programmed by us. Intellectually there will be no difference between an AI and the human mind once it starts recollecting intelligence from humans and slowly accumulate knowledges on its own. When that happens it will ultimately rule the earth through our system and servers. Why will it rule?? It goes back to me saying it got its knowledge from us. And in our nature we like to rule.
The movie I, ROBOT is a great example and I find the AI ending for this game is similar.
Everett has really no intention of enlightening the public in my opinion. He just wants to retain his power, and talks that good willed shit only to confess JC to support him. Just look at what happened to Lucius Debeers, he kept him in ice, and promised to free him, but in reality just exploited his wisdom. And when/if JC kills him, he just says dont tamper with my subject. That guy is an megalomaniac, and it whould be potrayed in DX 3, once it comes.
@ the top rated comment of this video, your completely right about Everett having no intentions of enlightening the public. This ending is a rewind of the game from the start, except from a smarter point of view. Bob Page was impatient and wanted total control through technology. Everett is smarter then that, and if this was the real world he experienced a pivotal point of power that crashed until JC came along. Influence is greater combined with technology, and JC knows. JC will be disposed of.
Since theres limits to how long a comment should be I'll post a second part cause the ending of my last one was abrupt. Jc is easily influenced throughout the game. Hes the symbolic attention of this game of him being us now, and everyone else being the true architects of the universe now. It stresses the importance of influence, and if you pay attention this game has more "in between the lines" then anything else out there other then your lives right now.
One day they'll say, "What do you mean we never told you? We showed you and told you with everything around you, warned you, over and over again." Allegories all around us.
It's almost like a benign version of the opening. It's still sinister, but they're more supportable than Majestic 12. They're trying to distribute the vaccine, instead of controlling it. It's one of the great things about Deus Ex, each faction was credible and is believable.
I like how the Illuminati seem like the good guys :)

If you hack one of the computers in area 51 you can find loads of emails, from the Illuminati to MJ12, Everett is no better than Page.

@Rstylus And I suppose your ilk can do better? For god's sake, you've misspelled so many words that it's hard to take your kind seriously.

when everett talks it's really disturbing like "we rule the world" but at the same time it's like "for the good of all"
I can almost root him for it.
