  • leaks like a 5 year old when you hold the bottle sideways... bad idea.

  • @rdakessian well to each his own. The bottle leaks with the factory lid from the moment you remove the factory seal. This is to aid in the application of Hoppes to your gun/patches. Being rude will get you nowhere.

  • Very cool info!! Thanks!

  • Just saw this vid. Very clever idea. I just turned over a whole bottle of Hoppes #9 on my back porch. Stained it bad. Gonna try this. Thanks.

  • I like it, but does the Hoppe's eat either the plastic or pull the dye out of it?

  • @snatale1 Not so far, I have been doing this for a while and haven't had that yet. It doesn't contact the lid all the time so I think it's OK. I have had it eat a Rubbermaid brand plastic tupperware. It turns cloudy and thick so I assume it's eating the rubbermaid, but it is sitting it in all the time. Thanks for watching.

  • Thanks for the tip bro!

  • Neat trick!

  • Dude, great idea! I have an almost empty mustard container right now! Does it seal well like if it gets knocked over??

  • @NeoPrepper wayyyyyy better than the original lid that leaks like hell if it tips over. but yes, this is a very nice solution.

  • awesome man that will really come in.handy

  • Great idea! How does a person "discover" that? Like the first person to ever eat a raw oyster, lol. Hows that happen ? :)

  • @MyHollowpoint Well I was cleaning guns one day, then the old lady told me to take out the recycling and as I walked out, I had the thought, "that looks about the same size"...and the rest is history. lol

    Thanks for watching.
