  • I was away from the tube for a while but I downloaded the last season of the Doctor. Awesome ending! Then I came across this amped up version of the theme song and had to have it! You guys rock!

  • @Jscribble2011 Glad ya like it!! :D

  • Just stepped out of my time machine, and heard this awesome tune...

  • Ka Ka Ka KlassiK !!

  • @sneakyuploader Glad ya like it! :D

  • this was number one when i was born. . . explains my apparent nerdyness.

  • 7 Daleks dislike this song.

  • 7 Daleks dislike this song.

  • my dad told me about this song :3

i love it :D haha i love how the fandom goes through generations :D

  • I have this very version on Cassette Tape and the cover looks exactly like the picture above.

  • "For the foreseeable future, there will be no further record releases from any past, present or future name attached to our activities."

Taken fr. KLF Communcations News release...May 1992.

  • Still like this song :)

  • @debzosau Glad ya do! :)

  • @arglwyddanfradwrus Until i heard this version on here i only knew the original and i do prefer this clubmix :)

  • ex-ter-minate!

  • @marklewin8 in-cue-bate! :P

  • 0:00 The Tardis Is coming!! (Doctor Who Intro)

  • I FINNALY FOUND IT i have a six minute song of this on my Mp3 player

  • ...and lo, Trock was born!

  • This is the best thing to ever come from Ford.

  • @hayleyinabucket LMAO!!!!

  • @hayleyinabucket I agree, m8...

  • Load of old crap, and utter guff was the song an dit still is in billions of ways.

  • @rojblake82 It is a load of old crap, that's what made it good! :-S

  • @rojblake82 It's a classic.

  • still got this one laying around here as 12 inch...

  • @xanninix That's definitely what it says on the tracklist of the CD I used to make this.

  • umm. ok

  • @PirateGal98 They were quite 'off the planet', and did indeed burn £1 million. Had they asked me, I would have gladly taken every penny of that £1 million ;)

  • @arglwyddanfradwrus wouldn't have had any problem with that too.. i'd be happy to change a little back then for e.g turkish liras .. which 1 million would be..eh next to nothing haha

  • we are incredibly lucky to have had the KLF in our time. People who dismiss them as a gimmick or novelty act need to pull their heads out. The KLF were the grandfathers of TROLLING FOR LULZ in this day and age. They trolled the entire music industry, culminating in throwing a dead sheep and a bucket of blood out after receiving an "award", disappearing from the music scene at the height of their fame, and burning a million pounds - for the sake of the joke.

  • @thedungeondelver Hear hear!!!

  • tom baker was the best -mad as a box of frogs, did you see him in "blackadder" classic

  • this song is just plain and simple fun

  • LOL, the guy who uploaded this in 2008 still reads the comments xD that's nice of him.

  • @goombrows He's a sad git who hasn't got anything else to do! :P

  • @arglwyddanfradwrus Haha no that's cool. man your 30? that is so awesome, you must have grown up watching to maker or peter davison or something :)

  • @goombrows Yes, I'm 30 (will be 31 this year). Yes Peter Davison is the first Dr I remember, but I think the best overall Dr IMHO is jointly held by the late Jon Pertwee, and Tom Baker.

  • @arglwyddanfradwrus John was a BOSS. and his regeneration was cool, too. just faded into tom baker, unlike a certain other more recert doctor who whined for 5 specials and than blew up the damn tardis while crying like a little girl ahemdavidahem

  • @goombrows Yes, I thought they've made him too emotional too! :(

  • @goombrows I don't want to go! D':

  • This song has the perfect rhythm and tempo to listen to while knitting. Especially if you're knitting a Doctor Who scarf. ^_^

  • @KarmStarkiller Hmm! Tom Baker will be pleased! :P

  • 3 people are daleks....^^

  • oh, i love this fandom.

  • Bieber Alert EXTERMINATE!!!!!

  • @Mercmad LMAO!!!!!!!

  • God, I remember hearing this in the club early 90's. I feel ancient, lol.

  • @entity30068 Do you feel "Justified" too? :P

  • KLF management your all a bunch of crooks

  • @edselmom KLF management were KLF themselves. Stop trolling with your rubbish and go back and wash the dishes like you're meant to!

  • I assume this is the B-side/Club Mix. I actually found this album at a record sake :V I had to get it. Also got a 45 with The Dickies' cover of the Banana Splits theme and a 45 of the Spies Like Us theme. Herpy derp.

  • @Trogdorbad Actually, I'm told it is indeed the Club Mix.

  • When everybody finishes telling us what samples are used every second post, how much they hate this happening, how lame the song is, how much one side of the globe are poofs and the other isn't, how many people hate Doctor Who and how many don't, how easy it is to hate the new Doctor Who as opposed to the earlier Doctor Whos.....then maybe it's time to take a pill and move on to the next YouTube video....I am the minute I press 'post'.

  • Wicked, if only the real artist got the credit

  • @grammobici Yes, but one of the 'real' artists who made this possible is an evil scumbag called Paul Gadd aka Gary Glitter

  • it wasnt done for realease as a single just for use by a dj and it was stolen by klfs management i actually know the said dj

  • @edselmom Then he's having you on!

  • this track was nicked by KLF as it was a london DJ who mixed it and their manager asked to take it away and have a better listen and next time he heard it was on top of the pops,a DJ friend of mine said if that happened to him he would have broke his legs

  • @edselmom I doubt that! This track was, frankly, cheese: Nobody would want to admit composing it!

  • As Lesmc says taking the piss bigtime. I am getting blockbuster by the Sweet, A touch of Gary Glitter and of course Dr Who lol.

  • The KLF taking the piss big time ! Love it :-)

  • @Lesmc1of3 Heck yes! :D

  • This song is fantastic! Somebody really needs to mash it up better with Muse's Uprising though. I think that would be cool to listen to. But by itself it's still great. <3!

  • @rocknrollprincess616 Thnx, glad ya like it! :D

  • In soviet russia, lazor beam exterminates dalek.

  • @Doctor699 In the UK, laser beam does nothing but excite them! :P

  • @arglwyddanfradwrus In Australia, laser beam is illegal 0_0

  • @FederalPolice620 Then I better hide my laser gun when I visit Australia! :P

  • @arglwyddanfradwrus Customs would probably sieze it O_O

  • @FederalPolice620 Thanks for the warning! :P

  • @FederalPolice620 The Dalek do not need no sticking laser... EXTERMINATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Mercmad But it IS their laser they use to exterminate! :-S

  • cool song

  • @BRm2008 Thanks!!!

  • "Hi! I'm Ford Timelord. I'm a car, and I've made a record". God bless them, haha!!!

  • TOCO DANCETERIA !!!!!!!!!

  • @thebestchicatto Glad ya like!!! :D

  • I am hearing Gary glitter and the sweet from the 70s as well as Dr Who lol.

  • @TrevMagnus The track heavily samples them, that's why!

  • sounds basically exactly the same as Gary Glitter's rock and roll

  • @billyb4223 That's what it basically made of! I am no fan of Gary Glitter, however...

  • @billyb4223

sounds basically exactly the same as The Sweet's Blockbuster

sounds basically exactly the same as Delia Derbyshire's Doctor Who Theme

sounds basically exactly the same as an Dalek from some some obscure Sci-Fi show

sounds basically exactly the same as Bill Drummond and Jimmy Cauty having a laugh (and a UK #1 hit) after being raped by the MCPS for using uncleared samples on their debut album "1987 (What the Fuck Is Going On?)"

  • @ovd459 Actually, the initial idea was to make an underground house track using the Dr Who theme tune, but no 'house' tune/melody/rhythm would mesh with the tune, so they had to go for the, and I quote Drummond here, "lowest common denominator". Still got them a number 1, though!!!

  • @arglwyddanfradwrus Interesting, wonder why they had a problem getting a house melody/rhythm to go when Paul & Phil Hartnoll managed it.

The Orbital version is better anyway, though not their best track.

  • @ovd459 I don't know why, but he is on record (pardon the pun) as admitting that on Snub TV, and also in an interview with Richard Skinner on Radio 1's Saturday Sequence in December 1990 that I uploaded (it's in 4 parts, though!)

  • @ovd459 Orbital mix isn't in 4/4 too.

Dr Who theme is 3/4 :)

  • @ovd459 Whoah, someone needs to calm down, what are you, their bum chum?

  • @billyb4223 Sorry, I was in a lousy frame of mind when i posted the inital comment, I can see how lame it looks to be defending a novelty record that even the orignal makers probably's don't think much of.

  • @ovd459 Nah don't worry man, it's cool (:

  • nicky2coats is Davros's YouTube account. The other person who disliked it is the Cyber-Controller. Even the Master likes this song, though.

  • @rkt739 I think he/she is actually jealous that I put this up! :P

  • Huh. Good song. These days, we have Chameleon Circuit.

  • @QJosephP I think this song is good because it's so cheesy! :P

  • wow this really sucks

  • @nicky2coats Wow, someone who hates the song! :P

  • @arglwyddanfradwrus I've never heard it before. Must've been a british thing. It's really awful though

  • @nicky2coats Well, it's crap, no doubt! But it did hit the UK number 1. It seems to be more liked your side of the pond though (The USA)

  • i love this, KLF rocked in thier day :p

  • @misskitti7 Glad ya like it! :D

  • Love the way they blatantly showed off the 'KLF' logo on Ford Timelord's bonnet at the start of the video! Ha ha ha! I'm a teenager again - Doctor WHOO-oo (hey!), Doc-tor Who....

    :)

  • @KrillLiberator LMAO!!! I'm glad to be 12 again!

  • what part did the car play again.

  • @LEON13858 The Timelords (AKA The KLF, The JAMS, etc..) claimed the car had in fact made the actual track!

  • @excberlor2 No prob! :D

  • what the ....

  • @killerlady1955 heck?

  • flash back...steve wright in the afternoon radio 1

  • @nedster01 LOL!!!!!!!!!

  • Oh what memories of London in the late 80's. Went to parties with these guys and didn't get home for days!!!!

Thanks for posting this (and all the other tracks) as I have only got the vinyl versions. XXXXX

  • @HottBlanche No prob! :D

  • EXTERMINATE!!!!

  • @Grandhoohah LMAO!!!!!!!!!

  • @arglwyddanfradwrus Gotta love the Daleks! ;)

  • @Grandhoohah Heck yeah!!! :D EX-TERMINATE!

  • I'm a car, and I've made a record

  • @mrmootheirrev LMAO!

    I'm a human, and I've made a Youtube! :P

  • SONG 5 STARS

  • @thebestchicatto Thnx! :D

  • Great memories of groovin' to this 12-inch in the late 80's underground club scene! Thanks for the post!! You rock!!

  • @joerunner70 Glad you like it, and thnx! :D

  • I got the 7'' inch on vinyl but I do think this one is better

  • @sandi43able I "like" the 7-inch version too! :)

  • Bosh, bosh, bosh ... lots of money!

  • @liquidgee13 Isn't it "Bosh, bosh, bosh ... loadsa money!"?

  • @arglwyddanfradwrus Yup, you're right it is loads of money, my mistake --- three whippings by a Dalek for my mistake.

  • @liquidgee13 No worries! I'll have "loadsa money", you can have "lots of money". Both of us, as you suggested, would then be R I C H! :P

  • Only one person so far has clicked the Unlike button. It should be zero.

  • @Robloxain1a42 Well, everyone is entitled to their opinion. I'm sure many people loathe the music I love!

    Thnx for the support, tho!!!

  • How did I not know that this existed?

  • @millystack Well... hmmm! :P

  • why do all of the critics hate this song so much? it's so epic!

  • @MizoxNG Well, it's quite corny, but it's good because of it being so bad, if that makes any sense!

  • This must be the single most used track for Movie-Previews after 2 Unlimited's 'Get ready for this' ;)

    Great!

  • Epic.

That's what I think of this song.

  • Glad ya like it! :)

  • this was put in the Variation to the theme OST that got out with the 2005 series :p

  • I didn't know that either! :S

  • @arglwyddanfradwrus

    Ha :-)

Already by the end of my life this song and later The KLF will I be associated with those years.

  • Hmm... :)

  • Such a pity they never did the middle eight bit.

  • @peggymount That's my favorite part of the Doctor Who theme song!

  • @DoctorPretorious616 Same here. Murray Gold wasn't supposedly a fan of that bit and left it out at first. Shame on him:-) First time I heard it was during the Pertwee stories in the 70's then it just seemed to get edited out eventually. Although it was occasionally used on the final part of Tom Baker Season finales for some reason.

  • @peggymount Normally because there was a longer credits sequence than usual - at the end of serials they tended to name all the supporting cast, rather than just the main characters within the story.

  • @DarthJedi2005remixes That'll be it. How nice for people to get their due credit on screen rather than being squashed up into a wee box in the corner. Cheers Darth.

  • White Room, What Time Is Love and 3am Eternal got lots of clubplay on the West Coast.

  • Oh I see! That I wasn't aware of!

  • We played this heavily on my radio station in the US, both in the single and 12" mixes, but it went nowhere. Made me bloody ashamed to be a yank. . .

  • I think Bill & Jimmy were a bit ashamed to own up to this too! :P

  • @arglwyddanfradwrus - apparently they HATED it - despite the fact it was the best thing they ever DID!

  • I beg to differ, strongly! Their work as The KLF was far better (bar Kylie Said To Jason, of course!)

  • @arglwyddanfradwrus - "America: What Time Is Love" was great!

  • Good! I like that one too! :)

  • I'm in the usa too. I can't remember where

I heard this first but i did buy the cd single. KLF got good airplay on MTV for their 1st single but after last train to trancentral they got no airplay.

  • Hmm. :(

Maybe they're follow-up tracks were not to American taste?

  • Sheer brilliance! I remember watching this on TOTP when I was a kid...

  • I missed it first time round! :-S

  • I heard this 8 weeks after getting my first taste of the doctor. And have been a fan seeing almost every episode to date.

  • Good! :)

  • how to make a number 1- the easy way

  • LMAO!!!!!!!!! :P

  • You What!

  • Sweet! Thank you for this one, really made my day.

  • Good! :)

  • Excellent upload, thanks for this!

  • No prob! :)

  • WTF DUDE!!!! This song is a classic. I Grew up lostening to this song, now quit being a Toll.

  • The song is certainly a classic, but it is quite abysmal. I think that's what makes it so good, paradoxically! :-S

  • The Time War wouldn't have happened had

Rassilon danced his sash off to this classic.

  • Hmm, maybe! :P

  • Ohhh what a great Song!

And KLF was my companion in the '80's !

    GREAT!! 5*

  • Glad ya liked it! :)

  • Dudes, I'm like way out there on this one.. undecided.. being a "Who-ites", the sound tracks got me doing the bobbing thing in the chair. Its a saver, but I'm not sure I would pump it in the Who-moble...lol

  • As a yank with confirmed case of Anglophilia, the KLF (in all their incarnations) were the ultimate slice of dj culture. Plus the good Doctor came on the same year I was born, so this tune still means a lot to me. Thanks,

    One Love

  • :-D

  • My best friend will LOVE THIS! <3

  • They made many oyher records under the names "THE JAMS" then "The Timelords" and then "The KLF" also a bit of a secret everytime they played gigs bizarre and master class of electronic Pop/Electro/Synth/Rock/dance all together in a clever mess such as this sampling "The Sweet" and "Dr.Who"theme and from Steve Walsh' 1985 remake of Fatback Band's "I Found Lovin'.Bright heads and how i miss these times it was really worth waiting for a JAMS/TIMELORDS/KLF record!! From a former DJ in DK!
