What good is resumable if it won't resume. I got 2GB done out of 3, I'm looking at the screen it says 66% upload process but in a new window under videos it says cancelled. I left the house and came back to this.
new utube is chit and y cant i download fuckin java with ur shit chrome i wanna play minecraft and it fuckin says web page is unavailable and i got it perfectly wth ie and safari u fucking retards
What are you using for that subtitle program? How do you use it, expense, etc. etc. I assume it's not a person typing it all in since in some parts the program can't understand what's being said popping up the message (inaudible). Thanks for any info.
@CityOfLewisville There's no cost per se. Go to the Captions menu and you should see options to request machine transcription. That will generate a caption file that you can download and revise if necessary. Be aware it has mixed results and is only available right now in English.
Observation: Despite Kuan Yong's statement about uploading in the original format, it's interesting to not that this hour-long video was apparently uploaded in a format that only transcoded to 480p, so there's a slight mismatch, I'd say, between the stated target and what even Google chooses to do in practice. Not fault finding... there are so many reasons one might have NOT to upload a file in, say, a format more in sync with Blu-Ray production.
16:10 Resumable uploads, discussing both Gears and Java in detail -- mostly protocol details for coders, though. Not hugely relevant for uploaders themselves unless they're also codeheads.
There's a joke about browser-enabled kitchen appliances if you go back earlier 15:30 or so, for the lulz.
@XNeo2001 lol, that I understand. But as a Google TC for YouTube I try to target my language to the lowest common denominator, even when pointing to brainy vids like this one. ;) There's a lot in this video (especially non-verbal parts) that speak volumes about the painful relationship between Google and YouTube. Just an opinion, 'natch.
Thank you for that tips that you gave us Google Devs.

A soft cap of 2,000 videos exists per channel. Once you exceed 2,000 videos, the limit is 50 videos per day. Slides at/after 2:55

@OckhamDeRazor Completely true that it's for codeheads. But then again, it was recorded at a *developer conference*...
