  • i would only lift my car so high that i could put jackstands under it..

  • i wouldn't trust that!

  • 4 post hoist is the safest by far

  • seems like it would just tip in towards the middle with no braces from left to right

  • where's the bloopers?

  • You'd think it would have much longer floor bracing arms, i.e. an inverted T-shape following the length of the car. Or at least some outriggers that fold down. It looks precarious.

  • All that work just to change a tire, wow.

  • i bet it wont lift my truck

  • wut an amazing car

  • Suddenly earthquake and it falls over front or back.

  • I wouldn't trust that shit to lift a lawn mower

  • this sucks, would only work to do tire rotation

  • So you bolted that lift to the floor and trust getting underneath the car? This whole setup looks like a tragedy waiting to happen lol. I know lifts in garages work on the same principle but they are far more sturdily mounted and usually have some kind of cross bracing either on top or bottom.

  • @HellzNord Exactly! Health & Safety wouldn't allow this in the UK. I was waiting for it to fall on him when he wobbled the car and pushed and pulled at the wheel.

It's great IF bolted down securely as you describe. It also needs additional safety features to stop it collapsing in the even of a power cut!

  • Will it lift my Excursion?

  • Come onee telling me that you have a porche and a lift.. but no impact gun!?! come on!!!

  • @MrFRoDiZle He probably has, but you don't use them on alloy wheels you MUPPET!

Go and learn about cars and then try to construct a more intelligent "abusive" comment.

The mistake he made was making no effort to slacken the nuts off before lifting the vehicle up, he is making work for himself and it's possible the handbrake might not hold fully with such forces. At least he used a torque wrench, even if it looked like he was really tired using it. Better luck next time anyway!!!

  • @urbex2007 We'll me beign 15, did I realize they were alloy? No,.. when dealing with Alloy wheels its best to use a torque wrench pretty simple knowledge... Now quit your trolling, and name calling while your still young.

  • i torqe my wheels onthe ground easyer ithink also quicker it took what 45 min prob to set that up but im just jellus would love to have lift 1 with link across top perferably

  • thats fine, but anyone ready to spend money on a lift, wants one to lift their vehicle more than 3 and a half feet. . .

  • swapping a tranny must be a pan on thi lift if it only goes up that high

  • 2 weeks later the car is up and ready to work on..!! i'l stick to my trolley jack and axle stands i think..

  • That car has the best

  • How high of a ceiling do u need?Would it lift to its limit with a 10 foot ceiling?

  • I think it would have taken less time to just use the car jack? Oh but the owner of the car can pay for hours of labor! My bad.

  • can i find it on ebay ?

  • Perfect for MIDGETS. not any one else though..

  • how is that portable its bolted to the floor

  • id laugh if it falls on him lol

  • is it a good idea to test this with a porsche

  • it's a good toe tapper. i like the song

  • i like the song

  • LOL

  • with a garage with that ceiling height why would you not get a higher fullsize lift?

  • JUST SEEMS TO BE A LOT OF WORK TO JUST JACK A CAR UP.

  • Seems weak and slow

  • why not just use 4 tire jacks?? it worked fine when switching out my tranny and catalytic..

  • surely any lift is "portable" is all you have to do is unbolt it to move it!!???

  • They have them at COSTCO

  • Don't go high enough. Car lift for midgets

  • Your suposta shake it one its only and inch or two off the ground. That way if it dose fall off no damage is done.

  • hey bitch if you just want to check the brakes just get a fuking hydraulic jack dumb ass

  • Thats as high as it can go? Cool idea, but not very comfortable to do anything under the car (which is why lifts are installed).

  • My Uncle runs a race shop he has the same exact one, its nice ~

  • '

is that lift made in china

  • Whats the point of shaking the car to see if it'll fall off the lift? Thats a counter-productive test. You test it and if it does fall off does that prove you were right that it wasn't on the lift evenly? What kind of f'ing test is that.

  • weight limit?

  • @ZanzibarJose lifted a f350 power stroke with one today.

  • @509free so what is that 3 tons? 6000lb limit?

  • TYRE TO THE FACE AT 2:13 ! :D

  • Looks neat, but i'd add support for the first couple months of use. In case those bolts decide to fail, etc. Don't want to have a car on me.

  • how come when he shakes the car only the rear moves? D:

  • @komeezy .. hahahahahaha, you are agreeing with your friend that posted "you panzy little bitch"? How the fuck did he "define me" with that childish statement?? How fucking retarded are you?? You silly stupid cunt have just shown how you are as stupid as your buddy "deathtoyourenemies" ....dickhead!! Not the sharpest fucking tool in the toolbox are you?? Hahahahaha fool! ..no doubt some other retarded dickhead pal of deathetcetc will reply next!! You yanks really are so fucking stupid!!

  • @DeathToYourEnemies ...hahahahahaha, name calling? How mature of you!

  • So it is movable right upto the the point of it's first use, when you have to Parabolt it into the floor.

Great idea. Might aswel save money and not put the wheels on it.

  • all lifts are dangerous if you're a fucking asshole

  • the WDW lift is more better for a normal garage

  • I only came to look at the Porsche :3

  • at 1:43 when you shake the back to make sure it's not gonna fall, what happens if it falls?

  • @TomD0longe Exactly my thought. So you test it, it does fall, both you and the car are potentially ruined.. What have you avoided by doing so?

  • The mechanic seemed to bolt the lift to the floor so presumably there was some kind of anchor point set in the concrete. It looks a bit precarious to me!

  • electric or pnuematic?

  • @jsorgi44215 The hydraulic unit is electric powered.

  • Comment removed

  • what price is that lift in US dollars and shipping to ireland???????

  • @Liamautomechanic Please contact our international sales department for a custom quote: mortiz@dannmar.com

  • how can i get one in mexico...

  • @deojett We do have a distributor in Mexico: Equipos Automotrizes Industrial De Chihua. The phone number is 636-104-5496. Please contact our sales department with further questions: contact@dannmar.com.

  • @DannmarEquipment ...I wouldnt use this system!! It is very dangerous and unreliable!!

  • @coltsuperocean10 I have had one of these units for 3 years and it works great. I use it to lift a Siverado 1500 and my Corvette all the time. I have never had a problem with it to date. Do you have one? If not you do not know what the Hell you are talking about.

  • @FrankStrongWolf ....sorry pal, but I pay someone to look after my cars!! I dont fancy being a grease monkey like you!!

  • @coltsuperocean10 I see sissy boy. Well I like to take care of my own vehicles. Grease monkey huh. Well let me see. I have a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering. A BS degree in Mechanical Engineering and a BS in Chemical Engineering. I am also a PE registered in all three in California and Wyoming. How about you sissy boy what about you. Let me guess you drive a little car and have a tiny little dick.

  • @FrankStrongWolf ...you also have a degree in bullshit by the sounds of it!! Hahahaha

  • @FrankStrongWolf ......so you have a bullshit degree in Mechanical Engineering and a bull shit degree in chemical engineering?? You are so full of bullshit you and your buddies of bullshit will explode with the amount of bullshit you have!! hahahahaha fucking go and buy some ass wipe paper you fucking bullshitter!!

  • @deojett get a beaner to build one

  • should put a dodge diesel on that and see how it works ha

  • I must have a pair of these lifts! It was the song that persuaded me. I don't care how noisy the lift is. I'll just be sure to play that song. Without the song, this video would be crap. Everyone should play that song. Why aren't other postings using that song? This video will live on forever, due to that song. . Or to put it another way... What was the point of the music other than to mask the sound of the lifts?
  • I wonder if the Porsche have fallen.

  • @ViniciusGT4

The MaxJax is as sturdy as any commercial lift for up to 6,000lbs. And of course the Porsche nor any other car has fallen. This solution is actually much more safe and secure than a floor jack with jack stands.

  • @DannmarEquipment Could you please send me a lifting point diagram. I lifted a friend's Ford Ranger, and while it worked fine, it wasn't as sturdy as it should have been. Any advice? Thanks in advance!!!

  • @dbflyboy917

We have one posted on maxjaxusa website. It's in the FAQ section, on the 'Products' page. Hope that helps!

  • @DannmarEquipment That is a great help! Thank you very much. How much are the 3" and 6" adapters? Where can I get a jackstand that will fit under my MaxJax at full lift height? Thanks for all your help. This lift is very handy and strong, can't wait to start using it to bolt on my project Mustang!!! :D

  • @dbflyboy917 We have all of these answers for you, but it might be easier by email? Would you mind emailing us at contact@dannmar.com?

  • the base on it is not wide enough or sturdy enough

  • I think "ultimate" is a bit far fetched.

  • I would like to see the warrenty claim on this thing. No way I would want to be underneath the car when this things is raised

  • i wont be sitting under a car like that no way not taking that risk

  • seems like a lot of work for something that might get used every now and then. but if you have limited space i guess its worth it.

  • song?

  • @zacatetas The Chemical Brothers - Battle Scars

  • @zacatetas oh thank you

  • As for the mount, look in any shop, 9 of 10 are mounted the same way. When the thing is not being used just put a bolt in the floor, lather it up with anti-seize first. Cut the head down on the plug bolt to avoid tripping over it if need be. Don’t use that bolt to mount it

  • I sort of like this thing. I have a very small garage and frequently work in the driveway. Put a set of anchor bolts in the garage and another in a concrete grade beam in the driveway and move the thing to where I want to work. I think this is for guys like me that would use it for a big project that will take a week or a month and when finished put it away until the next project. I would go several months with out using it so its good it can be stowed.

  • i can actually install my own duel exhaust with this

  • OK, the name of the song is:

The Chemical Brothers - Battle Scars

  • I wouldn't trust the ratings on the anchors in the floor . These ratings are for the anchors themselves , they are accurate as long as the concrete doesn't fail . There is a lot of pull thrust on the outside bolts which may lead to concrete shale causing the lifts to fall inward . I am not trying to be an ass but I have seen good rated concrete fail before .

  • I could have done this with a floor Jack also... and Checked all 4 of "whatever" he was doing. I own my own shop so this is useless to me but maybe that dedicated guy who wants this at his house would do.

  • what's so 'ultimate' about it?!

  • by the time this guy have changed tires on that shitcar, i'd be done with 3 cars with a regular garage lift....

  • You say it has female bolt holes in the floor. Its a garage, the floor gets dirts even when highly maintaned. What happens if dirt gets into the bolt holes when the lift is in storage? Would you continually have to clean the threads? Because if dirt was in the threads, that would cause damage the threads causing the lift to be insecure

  • @WildAsh9

Yes of course, there are plugs available for your recessed anchors that have a allen head for easy removal.

  • who sings this song?

  • dude, this would be awesome for stealing cars, I mean, you just wait till nobody can see you, take the lift out, lift the car, put a trailer under it, lift it down, tak the lift away and your done!!!

  • i would buy this... i really would...

....i just don't know why yet... but ill find a reason :D AWESOME PRODUCT!

  • I wouldn't trust it.

  • i like this music

  • lucky it didn't fall at 2:00

  • What if the car is ticklish?

  • lucky it didnt fail at 2:24

  • two hours later i finish my work on two cars while he's still putting his lift together. FAIL!

  • now try jumpinh up an down on the bonnet

  • I expected the Porsche in the thumbnail be squeezed by the garage lift!

  • When you use this first time, I would take a cheaper Car! XD

  • i That is the perfect size for my house garage!

How much is it on the market at the moment?

Even though it doesnt have a full clearance as a full sized lift does, but it sure to hell beats using a Jack and jack stands!

  • @Endlessx87

I'd say it's time to soup up your garage! You can explore resellers and prices here: dannmar.com/where-to-buy.asp

  • Nice Porsche, love those cars. GT2 is my favorite by far.

  • I would definetly NEVER let this guy touch my car

  • if you have to push the porche to see if it is sturdy, ( then you dont need to put a fucking porche on the fucking piece of shit lift )

  • Where I can But One OF THOOOSEEEEEEEEEE

  • @LaLoNaLgA001

    Here: dannmar.com/where-to-buy.asp

  • @LaLoNaLgA001 Forget the lift. I want the car that's on it.

  • 1:41= exactly how my fathers SRT-10 Viper was totaled right in front of us.

  • i rather hire mexicans to lift car wile i'm working under then trust that lift!!!

  • @lexousa I fucking agree, 2 spots lifts ftl

  • @lexousa HAHA now be nice

  • nice rid

  • would never trust that lol

  • For $2000...I would rather just get some $50 jacks and risk a horrible death.

  • this is a cool idea!

  • hydraulics baby

  • omg 1:45 looks like ur raping a car from the back

  • @sasuke8050 i mean 1:41

  • why would you do that to your car

  • So he drilled holes into the cement to place this "portable" lift in his garage?

  • Sure, I can get a car on a lift within, say, 4 hours. Which is about as long as this crap takes. Useless, really. If you are going to work on a car from below, get a real lift or buy a real garage. And, I can look at the brakes of a car using nothing but it's own jack.

  • pretty cool device

  • You sir best be careful with that Porsche!

  • First of all thats a ghetto torque wrench to use on a Porsche.. This is a VERY limited use lift for very few people. I have seen it advertised now I know the secret of it needing to be bolted to the ground. Whats the point you might as well buy a real lift.

  • @stevepitbull

Of course, most people would prefer a full-sized lift. But a lot of DIY home wrenchers do not have the luxury of a 14-foot ceiling in their garage.

  • @stevepitbull funny but the torque wrench hes using is morc accurate than a clicktype

  • @stevepitbull those torque wrenches are actually very accurate, sometimes even more so than the click type.

  • @stevepitbull A ghetto torque wrench? They're not replacing a head gasket bro, it's a tire... shift down a couple gears and relax.

  • Kind of pointless, why not just buy a air power high lift jack or use a jack with stands? The whole point of having a lift is to be able to lift it high enough to walk under it. This seems like it would only be good for changing tires, brakes, etc. The worst thing about it is you couldn't even buy a transmission jack to go under it because tranny jacks are too tall. I think its a great idea just a bad result, I don't care if Jay Leno has one or not, he doesn't work on his own car...

  • My guess is its too fucking expensive because they dont even put the cost on their fucking website!@! HOW MUCH ARE THESE??

  • @surf403

We do not sell direct, which is why we can't list prices on our website. However, they usually go for around $1999 on the market. You can find a lot of resellers here: dannmar.com/where-to-buy.asp

  • Permanent 4 post allows you to park another car underneath. when this is not in use, you don't get that benefit of putting two cars in one spot in the garage. This isn't the ultimate by a long shot. Plus I'm with the trusting the bolts in the floor guy. Nope! 4-poster mounted to floor doesn't depend on bolts not pulling out of concrete. Plus if you want to, you can get the caster kit for the 4-poster and move it where you want it! Porsche people......Muscle car guy would never do this!

  • @SchwartzeBaron

Hmm, apparently Jay Leno would: dannmar.com/dannmar-products/two-post-lifts/maxjax.asp

  • @SchwartzeBaron

But what about the millions of repair shops internationally that use two-post lifts for just about every repair job you can think of? They all use the same strength anchor bolts as the MaxJax.

  • @DannmarEquipment

Does this lift have any safety locks? or if the hydraulics fail the car is going to drop like a sack of rocks ?

  • @mistameanor420

Of course! It has a manual safety lock system. You can see him engaging the steel safety locks at 1:46 in the video.

  • @SchwartzeBaron that lift would buckle long before 8 of those giant bolts sheered off. bolts are the industry standard and every shop has a 2-4 2 posts and only 1 fourr post. why? 4 posts cost more and when a car is on the lift you want access to all the stuff. when you lift it by the frame instead of the wheels the problems are eliminated.

plus, they take up less space.

  • @SchwartzeBaron 2 post ramps also allow u to park a car under another car and are alot more practical aswell as alot more cost effective

  • Excellent product for my situation of a low ceiling and I do part time mechanic work on different vehicles. It allows me the freedom to move underneath without having to reposition a regular jack. Also, very comfortable doing undercar repairs . The one thing that was a little troublesome was the installation. The instructions were not as clear in certain areas so it required some mechanical ability to figure out. Scale of 1-10... I give it a 9.

  • I've seen this in ads and magazines for the past year, and thought it was actually mobile-in the sense that I could use it in multiple garages or at least different places within one garage, but it's mobile in the sense that if your garage is too small for a permanent lift, you can get this and put it in storage when not in use to free up garage space. I've seen it for around $1800 online, but I think a person would be better off buying regular jacks and stands.

  • @Ed1032 You could certainly place it in several different places in your garage- All you need to do is drop an extra set of anchor bolts in a different location!

  • THAT LIFT IS THE SH!@#!!!

  • To dangerous for me.The bolt to the floor I do not know if I can trust it.

  • @211Alucard but its how all standard regular 2 posts are. except you dont move em

  • what the song be?

  • man alive.... i would need to see how those "threaded mounts" in the floor are installed before i would ever trust that lift...... cool idea though, but why not just install a permanent 2 post!

  • lol 2:15 the wheel bounced back in his face

  • @mackthefatcat

I really don't think this is meant to be used with out it being bolted down. It's obvious this is geared toward the casual home owner mechanic, with low ceiling height....

It's not for everyone, but is for many. No sense in slamming the product just because you may not find it to be what you need!!

I find it to be just what I need for my circumstances...

  • @joel70605soileau Joel, I think you missed the point of my post. in past advertising they were misleading the patron to believe that it was totally mobile, and gave no indication that it required a permanent bolting arrangement. hence my comments.

  • omg whats the point ?? you install the lift every time you use it lmao pointless ill stick to tecalemit gear

  • its probably for home uses im guessing

  • what the hell, thats a pretty shit lift, how are you supposed to put a gearbox back in sitting o a fucking stool with wheels? its better than nothing but not half as good as a walk under!

  • @ jamclam1 - He is using a torque wrench, that is what you are suppose to use on your lug nuts, not the blunt power tools you use. Now a days few people truly care about there car so most don't bother.

@ clarker011 - He is showing that it is solid, i would find it more stupid not to do it. For a home version you know that people are going to be careless around it and hang on it and maybe even put stuff on the hood while it's in the air.

  • @DeadTimeCamaro

You don't use a torque wrench to loosen nuts. You use it to tighten nuts.

And you check to see if the car is solid 2 inches off the ground, not 4 feet off the ground. So its best for the car to fall 4ft versus 2 inches?
