if it does that for more than 10 days, Call Nintendo. they will fix your Wii for free, as long as it has been less than a year since you purchased it. Since this was uploaded on '09 i guess it's a little late for that, though. Hope you go tit fixed!

When you use a lens cleaner in Consoles or dvd players they can damage the lens. those brushes are Synthetic/Nylon, They can scratch the lens. Thats why you only use Lens cleaning products in CD Player only.

Calm down, If you look at most CD Lens cleaners they brushes are not in the recorded area. Look at the disk its self, Some are in the path of the lens. It can over time cause damage to the lens. It's an opinion, You don't have to act immature about it.

@AshanDev26 well ive ecently fond out that the wii has alot more problems on the "first generation". and what i meen is that my wii was bought.. very shortly after the wii was released, the newer versions of wii, such as wii's that come packaged with motion plus, or black wii. my wii is atleast 3-4 years old. updates dont help the console itself unfortunatley. (btw sorry for bad typing, my keyboard like.. lagg types.)

No wii games work, but GC does, I call the network, I'm told to try the lens cleaner, I'm hype cuz' I used it today, and brawl came up in the channel and you know what happened..."error!!!" my wii is only 2-3 years old, and I take care of it, it's a rip! I bought the wii lens cleaner as well because SSBB wouldn't read at all. Now, all my games have stopped working except for one which is animal crossing for wii. I wasted 10 bucks on something that made my wii in worse shape. I may send it in to Nintendo to have it repaired. Anyone planning to buy this should use it at their own risk.

2. Damage your lens because you misused it

Yeah, my Wii is fixed.

You have to ship your Wii to Nintendo for 75 dollars (unless you're within warranty) after setting an appointment with them over phone or online. Then they renew your warranty and its all nice.

Nope,thats not true man.They repair Wii's for free even if the Wii is 2-3+ years old because theres been major problems with the newer Wiis running Smash Bros right outta the gates for some reason so I guess they arent charging atm to attempt their version of a recall and are replacing the lazers/DVD drives as a "Iam sorry" If you paid 75$,you offically got scammed up the ass lol XD

Your guesses are about as good as mine Iam afraid but dont take my word for it,go register your Wii repair/troubleshooting at Nintendo right now and then click Super Smash Bros and go half way through the process,then you should come to a page that shows what are they gonna do which is pretty much what they did for the fee only free of charge because theres be somewhat of a recall of all the newer systems.Only if your Wii hasnt been tempered with tho,mines havent.

And that's not true. For the version 4.2 that bricked some peoples' Wiis that weren't modded (didn't brick mine, obviously), they repaired that for free.

And statistics (that I can't find) show that Wiis are much less likely to be sent to be repaired a second time. Nintendo has wonderful customer service.

And they are far less likely to break THE FIRST time.
