There's a case to be made that Hitler didn't want a general war. Pointing out certain facts does not automatically make a Nazi... Danzig's population WAS ~95% German and they DID want to return to German rule. Whether this necessitated a British/French declaration of war is up for debate.

I think Cenk misses the general point. Total war permits totalitarian states to increase and consolidate power. One plank of Hitler's Nazism platform was undoing the portions of the Versailles treaty which violated the initial terms of the cease fire. A second platform of the Nazis was the elimination of communists. Thus, the war with Russia was inevitable. I didn't see the piece as an apologia for a dictator, I saw it as an indictment of Churchill's government for increasing the death toll.

It is less of a true ash and more gritty and grainy powder. Had a tour of the process once. When all the moisture has been evaporated the bones fall back to their lowest form they have cavities from the marrow. Bones degrade in the ground as well if they are not mummified or preserved somehow. They hid the evidence when possible.

Most Europeans saw it this way as well - which is why nearly every country in Europe sent volunteers to join the Waffen SS in the fight against the Soviets. I've been looking in to WW2 and please correct me if I'm wrong. It would appear to me that the whole of Europe wanted shut of the Jews because of the way they treated the " Goyeb or Gentiles" as they call us. Of course Cenk makes no mention of the fact that Poland was invaded from both sides-- not only by Germans in the west but by the Soviet Union in the east. This is always conveniently left out of the narrative.
There's a case to be made that Hitler didn't want a general war. Pointing out certain facts does not automatically make a Nazi... Danzig's population WAS ~95% German and they DID want to return to German rule. Whether this necessitated a British/French declaration of war is up for debate.

I think Cenk misses the general point. Total war permits totalitarian states to increase and consolidate power. One plank of Hitler's Nazism platform was undoing the portions of the Versailles treaty which violated the initial terms of the cease fire. A second platform of the Nazis was the elimination of communists. Thus, the war with Russia was inevitable. I didn't see the piece as an apologia for a dictator, I saw it as an indictment of Churchill's government for increasing the death toll.

@bufallobiff Bones dont stay intact under flame and heat. They degrade into small fragments, the extra fuel is the fat in your body. Even the skull disentigrates. It is less of a true ash and more gritty and grainy powder. Had a tour of the process once. When all the moisture has been evaporated the bones fall back to their lowest form they have cavities from the marrow. Bones degrade in the ground as well if they are not mummified or preserved somehow. They hid the evidence when possible.

It was no accident they rose to power - it was either that or accept losing most of germanies assets when germany was already facing massive poverty. Historical Ignorance always annoys me to no end. Hitler wanted peace with the British Empire in order to concentrate on his main target the Soviet Union. And, yes, Hitler did try and want the British Empire as an Ally (he saw them as his natural ally) and tried repeatedly to sue for peace. We can all thank God that Britain continued the War. One can definitely make an argument that undoing the Versailles treaty was legitimate, but that was not Hitler's only goal.

The citys population was 95% German and being held hostage by Poland. The people wanted their freedom. Look on youtube for Hitler enters Danzig. The British put him in jail and he stayed in jail until 1987 where some people believe (including Hess's son) he was murdered by the British. The man tried to bring peace, but they didn't want peace

I'm pretty sure that Hitler did not want an entire world war because he was outgunned but as for invading shit in eastern Europe I would believe that, also he wanted the unfair treaty of Versailles revoked and German colonies to be returned. Also Britain was going to be on Hitler's side in the event that world war 2 did happen.

Most Europeans saw it this way as well - which is why nearly every country in Europe sent volunteers to join the Waffen SS in the fight against the Soviets. It was only a matter of time... which is exactly why the German surprise attack captured so many Soviet prisoners and supplies right there on the other side of the border. They struck first and caught Stalin with his pants down.

The problem was that Hitler wouldn't let them - and tried repeatedly to re-establish negotiations with them instead. They even developed a strike to take Britian's leadership by storm AND EVEN THE BRITS admit today it would have worked. Hitler refused it.

Alliance with Britain means Norway wouldn't be invaded. He made a friendship with the French ambassador Andre Francois Poncet in the late 1930's hoping that France would remain neutral when the Germans invaded Eastern Europe, and thus if France had stayed neutral no German invasions of France, Holland, Belgium, or Luxembourg.

@MCsuperChristina Invading the Soviet Union was the primary goal of the Nazi party's foreign policy since 1925, Russia however is not the entire world. Anyway, the Soviet leader Joseph Stalin was planning to attack Germany in late 1941/early 1942 so Hitler had to attack Russia. Also, the Germans only conquered western Poland in 1939, the Soviets invaded eastern Poland but you seem to ignore that fact.

Do you even know that Hitler wanted an alliance with the British Empire? I've been looking in to WW2 and please correct me if I'm wrong. It would appear to me that the whole of Europe wanted shut of the Jews because of the way they treated the " Goyeb or Gentiles" as they call us. The Britiah intellegence new all about the concentration camps within 2 weeks of the war between Britain and Germany starting ( my friend's Grandmother worked in that office and brought it to the attention her superiers) Nothing was done about it. @Rawkarma Well Hitler had to attack the British in WW1m he was a German soldier after all and had to fight the enemy when orderd i.e. the British and the French etc. Actually Hitler invaded Poland to regain German land that was stolen by the allies after WW1, to make sure Poland couldn't counter attack he allowed the USSR to have the rest ot the nation. But you're right, he did want to take all of Europe as part of a Deutch Empire and to be allies with the UK.
