I didn't even like Super Mario Galaxy. It was boring, repetitive, and i couldn't stand not being on one planet. I hate seeing the sky as the boundary mark. When something like Banjo Kazooie is released again (yes i know it went to xbox, but a platformer like it...) i will probably be a hardcore fan of the Wii.

My only concern about the power-ups is that they may be underused like the boo mushroom in the first SMG. I want to see a bunch of use of the drill and a bunch of use of the Goron thing, lol :P

I can understand why he didn't see it coming. I didn't see a Super Mario 64 2 or a Super Mario Sunshine 2. So seeing a Super Mario Galaxy 2 was indeed unexpected. Had it been a new Mario game with a new title for a new console I'd have expected that. 3D Mario platformers are far and few in between consoles. Not saying that having a second 3D platformer is a bad thing. Just didn't see it coming.
Ya the triple jump was in the first game, and can be done anywhere in the game. All you have to do is jump forward three times in a row without pausing.

It will probably have the exact same control type as the last game did. The only real movement of the wii remote you had to do when you played Galaxy, was just shake the remote to spin mario. Other then that, there isn't much movement of the wii remote.

you said the first Super Mario Galaxy was easy. This tells me that you didnt go for 120 stars but just the bare minimum. Some of the purple coins levels were immensly difficult and offered more than a challenge.
I LOVE that there will be wider worlds....like in the 64 one.... i felt that the first one had a set track to get to the end of the level... with a wider world you can actually explore... i LOVE exploring

I think that it will be better but that people will say it isn't because when the first one came out it was original and revolutionary, and this one doesn't have the impact of something never been done before like SMG had...
Yes most know that, what I hope he means (what I want as well) is that luigi is a playable character that you unlock, without going through all that trouble. Say, for instance, when you rescue him mid way through the game he becomes playable, instead of having to do something tedious like collect every star. Also, because of luigi's superior jumping ability, i hope they make areas where only luigi can reach.

In Super Mario Sunshine, there is the triple jump technique.
Or, if you're referring to jumping off somethin and doing a flip, there's New Super Mario Bros. for the Nintendo DS.

Man im so pissed this game was suppose to come out january, 2, 2010 and I read in the game stop release date book that their releasing it june, 1, 2010

you said the first Super Mario Galaxy was easy. This tells me that you didnt go for 120 stars but just the bare minimum. Some of the purple coins levels were immensly difficult and offered more than a challenge.

I LOVE that there will be wider worlds....like in the 64 one.... i felt that the first one had a set track to get to the end of the level... with a wider world you can actually explore... i LOVE exploring

Me too, but unfortunately that game was not very successful, even though it had the most detailed story line out of the 3....but if you think about it, how can they make a second one, how many times can he clean the island.... i mean ilse delfino is quite small what new places can be discovered

Honestly it wasnt tht hard. Now if you wanna know what hard is try playing Super Mario bros Lost Levels and Super Mario bros Wii THOSE games are what you call hard.

Well of course smb lost levels was hard because it was made in the 1980s abd was a very early mario game. And quite frankly I"m tired of saying nsmb wii was hard because I didn't find it hard, but medium.

Hm. Did you even TRY to get all the stars WITH luigi AND mario? Because some secret levels and other ones were hard as .... Well they were freaggin hard, man. Although the rest wasn't TOO challenging i guess. oh, and no offense, but yep im SMG 1 when you did a jump with enimies in a row you would go a little higher.

I think that it will be better but that people will say it isn't because when the first one came out it was original and revolutionary, and this one doesn't have the impact of something never been done before like SMG had...

you can play as him in the first one get all 120 stars then beat bowser again. It's in the official guide if you don't believe.

Yes most know that, what I hope he means (what I want as well) is that luigi is a playable character that you unlock, without going through all that trouble. Say, for instance, when you rescue him mid way through the game he becomes playable, instead of having to do something tedious like collect every star. Also, because of luigi's superior jumping ability, i hope they make areas where only luigi can reach.
