I believe the symbol is referring to the different phases we see in the moon. The Sun is male and The Moon is female. Women have cycles like the moon; I hope this helped. Blessed be.
@OkamixMe It also represents the 3 phases of the moon; waxing, full, and waning. Thus the circle has a cresent shape on either side. The full (mother) is round like a pregnant mother. Waning/crone represents old but wise. Most wiccans represent the moon as Goddess, and the Sun as God.
The only thing I do not like about this song is the fact they leave out the part for the God, it's two parts, not one. It's meant to be in perfect duality as well as harmony.
Absolutely wonderful harmony. A very beautiful version of the chant. At my very first ritual this song was played and I felt her for the first time, truly felt her away from my catholic "family".
today is a buttiful day a friend of mine had his staff at my house and he was going to go to the E.R. because of the pain in his legs. while he said that I moved alter out of my cabnite and set it on the coffe table I then preseded with a healing spell. As so I did the spell he said the pain fell from 10 to a 2 then I used a nulifing spell and he was taken out of pain copleatly. Because of this I thank the gods and Goddesses that I serve Gaia and cerunnos be praised blessing to all who are wicca
I wanted to thank each and every pagan for showing me that I was loved in a time of need. I thought I was to be homeless and as an unwed mother I knew I was in trouble with my 'loving' Christian family. So thank you all. I am not planning to teach my daughter the ways of Paganism so thank you all.
everytime it rains or i'm taking a shower i feel the need to sing this chant...i just love the soft drip of water on my skin...such beautiful song, Blessed Be )O(
this is so wonderful and soothing to listen to. i know that the cover says saced chants for women but this chant is so beautiful and these women that chant in this sound amazing.
Some versions of this have additional verses, such as "Corn and grain, Corn and grain, all that dies shall live again." This song conjures mental images of drum circles, so I don't really care for it; but if someone can get something out of it, then that is great.
