I think you need to calm down :-) Ben Folds Five didn't make this song to 'challenge' the original, but as a tribute to the greatness of the song, it's a compliment to The Flaming Lips. As to why everyone thinks it's better than the original, I'm not sure because I like the original better myself, but people are entitled to their opinion. I think everyone that loves "Behind Blue Eyes" by Limp Bizkit should love the original by The Who but insulting them certainly won't help my case.
