I think it should be a little faster. but this is my 2nd favorite piece so I am picky about it.

@PianoLover1114 Perhaps it is a matter of taste, but I prefer the slower speed of this performance. It better shows the majesty Mussorgsky no doubt felt at the art exhibition and how impressed he was by the man who painted them (I find it interesting how he was more impressed by painters and sculptors than he was with muscians). It's in my top ten favorites as well, btw. The grandieur of the piece is very striking, especially for one written for a solo piano performance.

I've just started learning this piece, and I think this is one of the best performances I've found.

Also, as a mainly jazz pianist, does anyone agree with me that you could turn this into an incredible call and response, Parker-esque interpretation?

Another great composition and another great musician. Beethoven, Mussorgsky, Dvorak, Chopin, Falla, Vivaldi, Verdi and so many others. Undoubtedly great artists.
