i didn't need confirmed bachelor to get the book just routed the power to eveyone. quick side note, big fan of the marksmen rifle myself : accurate enough to snipe, low ap cost so alot of shots in vats, plentiful ammo ( i usually use hollow points for sniping ), and low strength requirement. only real downside is the high skill requirement (100 guns ). good enough for 70% of the stuff in the mojave and free if you do the ant(ain't?) misbehaving quest for the boomers

I got that book without having the Confirmed Bachelor perk. I just talked to him about where to divert the power. I diverted to the full region and when I returned to him, he gave me the book along with stimpaks and doctor's bags.

Thumbs up if Orcidea should just make like a movie of the game where plays through the WHOLE game, gathering every nook and cranny there is meanwhile skipping the slow parts (walking, conversations) and doing every mission, going from lvl 1 to 30!

Also I miss the music you used to put in the game. You got me listening to Daft Punk with that unlimited caps video and Poets of the Fall with that one with tribal armor and they were dancing.

1) You don't need Confirmed Bachelor or to pass any skill checks to get the book at Helios One, you just need to divert power to the whole region when you get to the control terminal inside.

2) I absolutely hate that slow-mo killcam. First setting I turned off (and iron sights along with it).

first of all you've shown how to get only 4 books instead of 5 (you missed the one in REPCONN Headquarters) and second, you don't really have to have confirmed bachelor perk to obtain the book in helios... you just need to choose the right conversation options when first talking to him, get him to like you... but thanks for the video anyway : )

With all due respect, dear sir, you DON'T need the "Confirmed Bachelor" perk to obtain the fifth Science book. You need to convince Ignacio Rivas that you will consider his opinion where to divert the power and than divert it to the whole grid. The first could be done declaring that you will follow his advice.

Also, there is another Science skill book at REPCONN HQ.

@californiarage I think that's the All-American. It's a unique weapon. You can get it in the vault 34 armory. He has a video on it. You can also get the normal version on some enemies and at Gun Runners. It's called the Marksman Carbine.

it took me sooooooooooo long to get to boot legger place even though i have all that you have and more armor i have all power armor but the only unique weapon i dont have is knock knock i have a glithc and it doesnt give me the key

@WarningAc130 If you want the key, what worked for me was first hacking the terminal. Then talk to the guy. after the conversation what you need to do is kill him. I f he has the key on him good. if he does not try advancing farther in the quest and then kill him.

@XxCaesersLegionxX Its the sound of you or someone else when they are poisoned. Sometimes you will randomly hear it even when not near cazaores or scorpions. Idk if its a glitch. They must have poisoned a fiend or something.

It seems that the game works differently on different platforms. For me the speech check wasnt enough, I tried it multiple times (I play on PC, with fully patched and updated game). With the Confirmed Bachelor I got it right away. So yes, nothing but the speech check might be enough to get the book if u play on Xbox or Ps3.

Orc what fallout do you like more? Fallout 3 or New vegas? And do you care about hardcore mode at all?

I personally prefer fallout 3 and I played the game on hardcore but the only thing I noticed is is that I have to take alot of purified water with me, I have to kill bighorners and I need to stock my ammo..
