  • @ alrikholm The movie does contain d, e, & f (I guess)...and it was out of graciousness to Larry and his family that we did not include the letters between Larry and them. They are pretty difficult to fathom. Should be hearing some stuff this week.

  • This wasn't made after he died. It was started while he was alive...and with the full intent of him participating. Many people wanted him to answer these charges and allegations. What a great story it would have been had he simply taken responsibility and said he was sorry to all those people?

I have no idea what motivates this family, save that they live in their own separate universe. Their pride says to them that they can stave off and deny all of this. And a handful of nutters follow.

  • @larrynormandoc: it seems to me that only a handful of nutters bought your sad excuse for a documentary. By the way pall, you violated my copyrights, witch will be notified.

  • Daniel Robinson and Jennifer Wallace's story is documented in the movie. There is plenty of evidence...

    a) testimony of others in both Australia and the US that knew

    b) letters between Daniel and Larry

    c) letters between Larry and Jennifer

    d) Larry's admission to Denny Fridkin in 2006, when Daniel tracked down Larry and met him for only the second time in his life

    e) the fact that Larry mentioned Daniel in his will

    f) physical similarities

    .

  • @larrynormandoc: thanks for answering, your the first one to give a straight answer. I've seen the movie Fallen Angel. But what you describe under a, b, c, d, e and f isn't in it?

  • Hi, I have a question for you. Why don't you highlight the issue about Larry's 'son' in your 'trailer'? It seems by far the issue to deal with!

Since I asked this in other places also: is there any evidence, besides the testimony of this woman, that the kid is Larry's?

    Thanks for answering.

  • Back when all the stuff started happening in Larry and Randy's relationship I got in touch with Ray Ware by phone and we had some interesting conversations. Ray didn't get into too many specifics but was always wishing the best for both Larry and Randy. Now after Larry is dead this film comes out. It makes no sense. Anyway their is a website that pretty much completely shows fallen Angel to be false. To me the evidence is irrefutable. I am going to try to contact Ray again. Pray for me.

  • Once again, I am wondering why the church, in all its honesty and courage and victory, etc, etc, etc, doesn't confront the charismatic people. They are so worried about the nice way these people's "ministry" makes them feel, that they don't care who these people are doing in. I'm sick of it. It stinks to high heaven. God smells it.

  • Let me start by saying that I don't even care right now about the merit of this documentary.

What pisses me right off is that ANYONE would make this immediately following Larry's death. Now I'm definitely not in favor of glamorizing someone's life after they die, but to kick them while they're down? How could you, Randy? I think that this whole documentary is awful because it's just plain mean. Saying, "why is the devil singing the music? I've never said this before to anyone, but: go to hell.

  • what's the song at 1.52?

  • If we had access to those people who knew St Peter and St Paul I wonder if we could make a documentary about all of their mistakes and sinful moments. Can you imagine how St Peter was when he refused fellowship with Gentiles who refused to become like jews (in spite of his vision). Or how was St Paul when He sent St Mark away and St Barnabas had to fix that mess up or when he prayed for his "thorn in the flesh" and God sent grace alone. Or St Timothy with his bad stomach etc. All Saints fall

  • @alexleitch37

True, but true saints admit when they fall and ask forgiveness and try to make things right.

  • @alexleitch37

True, but true saints admit when they fall and ask forgiveness and try to make things right. And fellow Christians are supposed to hold each other accountable, not make excuses for thier actions.

True, but true saints admit when they fall and ask forgiveness and try to make things right. And fellow Christians are supposed to hold each other accountable, not make excuses for thier actions.

  • @smbakk1 Please may I ask "What or Who is a TRUE saint". All humanity exists by the grace of God alone. I , for one, do NOT know what it is like to have thousands of fans who place me on a pedestal (like many did with Mr Norman). I did have the divine pleasure of meeting him twice and we talked. Larry was a very intelligent, exceptionally talented, deeply troubled man. He was incredibly in love with Jesus, thought he carried the weight of the world. I love him very much. Jesus loves him. blessu

  • @alexleitch37

I myself am no longer a Christian, but when I was, I understood "saints" to be those who confessed their sins, repented and took responsibility for them, not attempt to cover them up and lie in order to save face with the world. I would have far more respect for Mr. Norman, and all Christians, if they didn't try to pretend to be something they aren't Better yet, if they actually lived by the code they preach. Perhaps if he had come clean, he would not have been so troubled.

  • @smbakk1 Hey mate, thanks for your reply. "to save face with the world" that is an interesting comment. I say this because I do not have any kind of relationship with "the world". Mr Norman was an international superstar. We must see him in that light. It is not normal, or very healthy, to have a global reputation. Once on a pedestal there is only one way to go... down. We make men into gods and then we are surprised when they act like demons. I must also repeat that I love Larry. I love him. :)

  • @smbakk1 and please let me add... I have many of Mr Norman's recordings and I was never under the impression he promoted himself as above humanity. In fact he sang of loneliness and brokenhearted grief throughout his musical career. None of his albums contain "I've got it together" songs. Larry points to Jesus as the perfect one. No other Christian gets a mention as being perfect. Please also take into consideration that we love Larry. We see him through Jesus eyes and heart. We judge not....

  • @smbakk1 Please, Consider how you would feel If Larry was someone you loved dearly (like your father or your brother). Now if your beloved was an international superstar and they sinned, how would you feel reading through this thread, or if people made a film about them? I for one, do not have the heart to harshly criticize anyone in this manner let alone someone I love with all my heart. I do however empathize with your comments/ concerns. I just hope no one ever speaks about you in this way :)

  • @alexleitch37 I'm really not trying to judge him as a human being, I'm sure he was a wonderful friend and had a concern for people based on what he believed about the after life. I am suggesting all Christians, and especially those who everyone is watching because they are high profile, need to try walking the walk rather than just talking the talk. Anyone group that promotes their personal agenda with the idea that their way is better than the worlds way needs to show it in action.

  • @smbakk1 Yea, I hear what you are saying. I guess what I am trying to say is Larry did far more good than harm. And he did it on an international scale. I do not know what it is like for people to live this way, under such public scrutiny. I do know that I do my best to underplay my own faults and failings in and around my local community and I am far from perfect. I would simply hate to have someone make a film of my failings and sins. BTW, you come across as a kind and intelligent person. :)

  • @alexleitch37 Thanks, you appear to be a kind and intelligent person as well, and I really do understand why reading such negative comments about your friend is difficult. I can't help but wonder if it's been difficult for Larry's son to see his dad being held up as a saint by so many while personally feeling the painful stab of rejection from the one that should have loved him the most. I hope that, for his own peace of mind, he will be able to forgive his father and not blame himself.

  • @smbakk1 Yes I agree with you. I do pray for Mr Norman's son (especially that he will not see himself as to blame or as unlovable to his father). May God have mercy on us all. Hey thanks for your comments of concern. I have really enjoyed conversing with you. I always have heaps of time for folk like you who are honest, considerate and polite. Good for you man. I hope your heart leads you to Truth and I hope to keep in touch with you. You can talk to me anytime via P.M. cheers man Alex in Oz.

  • @alexleitch37 I've been enjoying our discussion too, I have nothing to lose by being honest with you. There are however people in my life, parents and siblings, that I have decided not to reveal my loss of faith to because it would only upset them and I see no sense in that. I have seen absolutely no evidence for a God that is actively involved in our lives, so I can't imagine ever believing again. My "truth" is in nature which science is able to explain more and more all the time. :) Sue

  • King David was a man after God's own heart...

He broke up a family, committed adultery, and in effect murdered his rival.

    Yet God forgave him.

Larry is gone. Both sides should just let it go.

  • oh my God-Larry Norman was a man-and therefore subject to life as we also experience it(to a degree)I met Larry several times, and recorded some of his songs to try to help myself and him(if able to-which I never was during his lifetime)Jesus also took on the form of a man,for He too, like all of us-was only visiting this planet...I miss Larry

  • This film will open at the Belcourt theater in Nashville, TN on April 20th at 6:30pm. Tickets will go on sale very shortly.

There will be a question and answer session where Randy Stonehill, Ray Ware and David Di Sabatino will be in attendance.

  • I saw him in Flevo.

What makes the docu one-sided? That the Normans did not make any statements? You cannot force them.. And even if David missed some parts, which he surely did, since the documentation was just 80something minutes long, he did indeed ask a few profound questions. I was shocked about what Larry did to Randy, which seems a proven fact. Keeping the rights for many years seems not like something you could excuse with having a bad day...

  • I have seen the documentation, and I understand why the Normans did not approve it. It brings some light in some areas that indeed look not good. I hope that some of those who comment here would watch it instead of judging a book by it's cover. And yes it is a biblical story. I found myself in it, and more than I would wish. It is a must-see for any musician. I was and I am a fan of Larrys music, and I am thankful for David to do the efford and tell this story. Rock on!

  • I never even said he was a hero, I just enjoy his music. But I do know people who were led to Christ through the music being used as a tool. So I just cannot understand what good can come from tearing him down. It can become a stumbling block to some. And what is the goal? To get people to stop listening to his music? Yes, he was flawed. But God instructs us to love everyone. And if I'm not mistaken, Mr Norman was repentant in the end.

  • Wow,

My first thought is, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."

Then I have to ask, are you trying to undermine the good that has been done through Larry Norman's music?

Who hurt you so badly that you have to run Larry's name through the mud? Are you that bitter and hateful? I pray that this movie doesn't lead people away from God.

  • your reply is exactly the kind of self righteous, judgmental, bullcrap that I'm talking about could lead people astray. Only Jesus has the authority to judge. Mr Norman is dead, what possible good can come from tearing him down. I worship God, not religion. and even if everything the movie says is true, aren't they lowering themselves by refusing to forgive and love?

  • Does anyone know what Randy Stonehill is referring to when he said" how could you do this, you're the one who led me to the Lord?"

  • "To the maker of this "documentary"" UUMMM....Your true heart and motives are showing. I just thought you should know. I'm sorry but if "man" can see it what do you think God sees and will find in your heart when you stand before him.

You are being prayed for. As Stonehill also said..... "I've got news for you, this is not a game. I've got news for you WE ARE ALL THE SAME. And when that is understood we can start to live again"......

    G-Life

  • Do not always believe what you see or hear. This was not a guy who took the time to run around and defend himself of all the BS being said about him. He knew that the truth will always win out and one day it will. Too bad there are small minded and small heart people who feel the need to try and destroy what is good and decent.

  • Wait for it...

  • @IAM4031, I think I know what you're saying, and I'm with you.

But what else did you espect from a guy like DDS? Something else then garbage? The only two 'movies' he made are about dead guys who can't defend themselves anymore.

But I think this last one is more about Randy. Which is logical since he is the co-producer. I guess this is his thanks to Larry for helping him getting a career in music.

  • Your an idiot.

  • Greetings K-S Guess who died on my birthdate of all days predestined? I died 2003 & was brought back. CONSIDER THIS: Look in the mirror and say am I happy right now and see what you see! Say WHO am I and see what you see! If you are not the POTTER, then I suggest you quit trying to mold CLAY into shapes and forms for your own selfish agendas but again that's predestined also! I stand and hand you all a stone, and If YOU are perfect, feel free to STONE me as well! Signed , 000777-022460WA.

  • That is an amazing tune! Who sings that? What album?

  • What is the song at the end of the trailer?

  • By the tone of the trailer... This is presented more as an EXPOSE" than a documentary. There appears an agenda to be met. and its not one of unbiased truth. When he first told me he was working on this film I expected the end result to be something more candid. His film about Lonnie Frisbee was excellent, but if this trailer fits the movie.... I'll walk out.

  • tomanderson92 I am very saddened to hear of Larrys' problems. I had the privilege of hearing him in concert several times. I even helped promote two of his concerts in Marshalltown,IA. I must admit however despite Larrys' indiscretions I will always remember the good times at those concerts, and the really tremendous influence he had on me and my ministry. I look forward to seeing him in Heaven again someday soon.

  • Got a pm from Silvi01977:

"Larry did approve it (to begin with) he was just banking on DDS to have made the movie he would have done.... full of self aggrandising BS"

Larry did NOT approve this documentary! Don't try to bend the truth a little your way my friend.

At a certain moment during Larry's short relationship with Sabbi, a documentary was subject of discussion. But Larry didn't approve anything.

Btw aggrandising=aggrandizing? Even the Dutch know ...

    Esperopt.

  • Good that there is anyone out there doing an objective documentry about this man,

  • Sounds like Stonehill sings and larry is bashed!! This is Cheeseball crap by Jealousy filled people....I just broke my original "Welcome to Paradise" album and will NOT support Sabbiman on his movie....shame on you!!

  • I got to see the premiere, and blogged about my experience.

  • In case anyone wondered...no return on my mail to Di Sabatino. However there are people working on a *real* biography (ie. one that has well sourced / multiple witness established things instead of hearsay and inuendo) and I'm fishing up past conversations with Larry in email and looking for some of the things David wrote me. If anyone has relevant stuff let us know and I'll connect you with the team doing this. -Bob

  • continuing..then he got into Larry's email Group when I helped bridge the gap and Larry asked him what his problems were w/ him. David S. listed a long list. Larry went through and refuted each one handily. I mean things like his claim that 'pardon me' was about Pamela. Hehe. Larry noted he'd copyrighted the song a year before he met her! :-) Stuff like that. I can't believe that after THAT he goes ahead and makes a movie like this!!

  • Alan Russel..one.... insulting, non-constructive person I guess. Have we..met? I'm not ashamed of who *I* am. Who..are you?

. "Nut Jub"..what is that? "loose cannon"? Yeah so was Jesus in the eyes of the pharisees. Your point?

Yeah I'm always saying what the pharisees don't want to hear. On the other hand I have nothing but good dealings over thousands with people.... I owe nobody except people who haven't gotten here to get their money yet :-) Not on SSI. How does a 'nut' do this?

  • every angel that has impacted us carry's a couple or so demons. We are men after all.

I got demons and you got demons too. Boo boo pe do.,

I sure dug this guy as a teen. It's been a long long time Larry. Sorry to hear you been gone from this earth.

  • Dont be so tough on Gerard, he's from Holland, so English is not his first Language He loved Larry and is entitled to his opinion .. as are we all .. It is good that everyone can express themselves, regardless of their position :)

  • Btw everyone says this is a documentary. But look at the end of the trailer. it says: A bible story by David diSabatini. A Bible story? larrynormandoc guy, this it not wat you told me. This guy is loosing it.

    Gerard.

  • Can be, but are you telling the whole truth?

  • Larry was a positive force in Christian music and good servant to the Kingdom. He was a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ regardless of the many critisisms he endured and it doesn't get any better than that.

I won't be watching this disgraceful and biased UNAUTHORIZED mockumentory either.

  • i can't wait until this comes out.

  • What a laugh. You call this a 'documentary'? Why? Larry didn't approve this so didn't the Normans, so how can this be objective? Think Sabbi just needs some bucks, but this ones won't give him any.

  • Disabatini... you are going to get sued... and worse, God is going to hold you accountable for harming such a great man of God! You can COUNT ON IT. THUS SAITH THE LORD!!!

  • Thus saith the lord; or thus saith Boleyn679? Give us all a break, Larry was a public figure by his own choice and deserves to be held to the same level of accountibility as anyone else.

  • Excellent work Dave,i can't wait for the final product.

  • Larry broke up "our" family... his former manager... he is talking about the Solid Rock family.

"Why is the devil singing the music?" is a former Solid Rock employee.

  • Who is the guy that says that Larry broke

    up his family?

Also, who is the guy that says "the devil

    is singing the music?"

  • Larry was a genius, though a flawed one...

  • how objective is this gonna be?? get the feeling its a tad sensationalistic....

  • Mike Roe of The 77's and Lost Dogs.

  • Who is the guy with dark sun glasses?
