@gemsmaquillage its not really whiney. macs generally have had a bad reputation with customer service. how long had you had the laptop at the time? also, theres no way a dirty charger could have "broken" your battery. what happens when batteries die is they lose their ability to hold a strong charge. it occurs slowly, but eventually you will need to replace the battery. batteries nowadays generally last for about...300-500 cycles, or about 3 years. Sounds pretty similar to the day I had! My car wouldn't start and I had to call a mechanic and had to wait almost 2 hours in 30°C weather and got sunburnt. Then he fixed it but I had to get something exchanged. So I drove to a friend who ususally fixes things like that but he refused to do this, I have no idea why! Then I had to drive elsewhere, leave my car there overnight, had to call my mum to pick me up and paid over 200€ for the guys fixing my car! I wanted to scream!

Sounds pretty similar to the day I had! My car wouldn't start and I had to call a mechanic and had to wait almost 2 hours in 30°C weather and got sunburnt. Then he fixed it but I had to get something exchanged. So I drove to a friend who ususally fixes things like that but he refused to do this, I have no idea why! Then I had to drive elsewhere, leave my car there overnight, had to call my mum to pick me up and paid over 200€ for the guys fixing my car! I wanted to scream!
