I wish Warum was more pensive (i.e., a slower tempo) and its delicate polyphonic imitations were more brought out, but I suppose it might have been too precious. Grillen was lighter than usual, which I liked a lot; I find most of the interpretations by others too "boxy". In der Nacht is simply beyond reproach. I hope Argerich records more Schumann. Would love to hear her interpretations of Op. 6, 7, 11, 14, and 20, among others.
I'm playing No. 4 Grillen for a recital in a few days. I think she's taking all of the Florestan character movements a little toooo rapidly. Just my opinion
An interesting take on these wonderful pieces. I particularly enjoyed "In der Nacht" but overall I'm not sure that Schumann himself would have approved of some of the liberties taken with the timing, and also that he may have wanted slightly more judicial pedalling. Still, fairly enjoyable overall.
Martha Argerich es la más maravillosa intérprete de Schumann que ha existido. Gracias por subir esta grabación que se agotó hace años.

A magnificent interpretation. Not too fast, not too slow. Just right!

i think "warum" is too fast, in the life of schumann, it's a deep introspection after a fail, and we don't hear it in this interpretation

Stupendous piece. One of Schumann's greatest moments. He so perfectly creates the ideal scenes for each with some of the most pianistic pieces.

Further to the previous, to see what I'm talking about, check out the Rubinstein playing of these pieces.
