From the looks of things, it is meant to be "mindless, meaningless 'wackiness'".

Finally, you cannot skip the acid-trip parts. There's an invisible wall in the normal part that impedes your progress, forcing you to get high. You cannot dodge the Fuzzy either; it will home in to you.
