When I was growing up, Metallica and Megadeth were Metal. Now they seem like rock compared to the new "Metal Norm"

The only good song from "Slip of The Tongue". Coverdale's biggest mistake IMHO is to have teamed up with Vandenberg. He lost 10 years. He should have gone with a really bluesy but modern guy, someone like Pat McManus. When Coverdale was good, he was the best. Unfortunately, things went downhill since 1984. But from 1973-1984, in my book, he was the greatest.

When Coverdale uses his voice in the proper way he's fantastic and unique. For me an hero of my youth

In my opinion his main problem was that, in the past , rather to use his bluesy and warm style he had to imitate singers with power high range like Gillan during the Purple age or Plant when whitesnake turned from blues to Hair Rock.
