Also, the little-known wine-making region of Dealurile Munteniei in Romania makes some excellent Pinot Noirs that are around the $10-$12 range, but are comparable to French wines of five times the price. Mainly this is because the region has a very similar climate to Bourgogne.
Well presented, but a little miss informed. New Zealand makes exellent Pinots from several regions, Hawkes Bay, Central Octago and Marlborough.
And you also forgot to mention Australia's great Pinots & Regions, like Yarra Valley, Mornington Peninsular, Adelaide Hills, Pemberton, just to mention a few.
I mean no disrespect, but I would literary ask your hand in marriage if you were 20-25 years old. It's just so hard to find sophisticated girls nowadays.
Pinot Noir is very smooth and mellow, but i don´t like the taste of berries in Wine. I still prefer the originial Chianti Classico DOCG from the Toscana, Italy. Perfect for a Scampi-Pasta-Dinner:-)
@BH7JEZ Me too, but then again, the one I tried was very new, had almost all the tell-tale sign that it had gone through carbonic maceration. The one I tried today in tutorial is older and drier.
well taped! no editing plus, compact in terms of the contents and length. as the matter of fact, im wathching this with a glass of pinot noir from Marlborough. haha
probably a back ground music makes your video even better.
Oregon is 'Burgundy West'?! No way, Central Otago. IMO the best New World producer of Pinot. New Zealanders make gorgeous PN and should be crowned Burgundy of the New World :D
Do my eyes deceive me? Expert Village videos which are actually... informative and helpful? Just added all the videos to my own playlist! Love this lady's expertise!
I agree with tickonastic. It's generally accepted that red Burgundy is Pinot Noir. While Beaujolais is a part of burgundy, those wines are generally labeled Beaujolais, thereby denoting Gamay.
This is just ridiculous. She said all red wines in Bourgogne are made out of Pinot Noir. That is absolutely false since the entire Beaujolais, wich is in Bourgogne uses Gamay. And what about Passe-tout-grain that blends the two grapes? That's just basic wine knowledge... Doesn't start the video well...
All your wines videos are great , your give all the neeeded information on the subject each and every time, with in a few minutes, keep up the good work. How about some videos on european wine labels, and how to read them?
New Zealand pinot noir is very good... look out for wine from Marlborough, Central Otago but especially Martinborough which is currently producing outstanding, earthy pinot noir.
It's strange but no one would go out & buy a Pinot Noir. Yet the most expensive & best wine of the world is made in Burgundy, which is Rominee Conti Grand Cru. A case of this vintage wine sold last yr for over US$200 000 haha
I had some wine at a french restaurant about 20 years a go and I have been tried several times to immolate that and no success yet,
At first I thought it was the duck I had ordered but it wasn't anyway, it has crossed my mind that maybe I should just back to that same place and see if they have the same wine.
Which wine could I purchase that would give me a better chance of recreating this beautiful taste?
these postings are absolutely informative. I am looking to purchase a few bottles to store for a decade or so... may I ask of you to please give me your opinion regarding what to buy, or even create a video illustrating your knowledge of the presented subject. Thank you.
Some say this is "The Holy Grail of Wine" - very thinned skinned and notoriously difficult to Cultivate and Produce. Had a few from New Zealand, but dont know much about it really - Pale in colour - I prefer - Bright Red Plummy Jammy Cabernet or Shiraz. All a matter of Pesonal Taste.
wow this lady knows her stuff i do have to agree with the top comments up top there.

i've read from a book that it is healthy to drink wine everyday. It is good for our heart since it regulates our blood circulation.

What she said was "Red Burgundy is always Pinot Noir". She did not say that all wines from Bourgogne are PN. Pay attention, people!
