I've read the book "The Midwich Cuckoos" by John Wyndham which this film is based on and it's really equally scary except in the book the alien children looked as twice as older than their actual ages of 9 yrs old.

What I like in this version of the movie is the fact that we'll never know if the children were actually against humans or not... After all, they only defend themselves when their specie is in danger. It's also a good way to show the fear of communism and the fear of what is not human. The humans are also wrong in this movie (in the remake, it's clear that the children are hostile to humans)

The original is still better than the remake. We need a better new movie of this story with higher artistry and feeling. The basic plot still has so much psychological potential to it but it needs to be done with very well casted kids and adults. I wish Stanley Kubrick had done this one.

I think the original movie "Village of The Damned" is way much better than the inferior remake. I've read the book "The Midwich Cuckoos" by John Wyndham which this film is based on and it's really equally scary except in the book the alien children looked as twice as older than their actual ages of 9 yrs old.

Well...It's a movie from another time ^^"" You have to respect the values and morality of the past lol.But what it is amazing it is this movie have aged very well...I think it's because it don't have any special effects (except the eyes) so it doesn't look corny today lol!

I found it searching for torrents on the Internet. Don't have the link now. Look for "Village Damned torrent" or so in Google. Then find out about torrents on azureuswiki, good luck!

What I like in this version of the movie is the fact that we'll never know if the children were actually against humans or not... After all, they only defend themselves when their specie is in danger. It's also a good way to show the fear of communism and the fear of what is not human. The humans are also wrong in this movie (in the remake, it's clear that the children are hostile to humans)
