@sfflyer123 Tower Lounge is great. Had to spend there three hours before my flight to SFO with UA which was honestly far better than expected and equal - or even little better - than LH Business.

@panathare100 I looked up the statistics the other day. The airline with zero fataities is southwest airlines. Keep in mind that Air Tran (which also has zero), is actually ValuJet re-branded. Of course, valu-jet was one of deadliest airlines in history, but when they got a new brand, they got a new slates. Of course, all US airlines are incredibly safe, no question.
i think the reasen why the reverse thrusters opened late was because the plane maybe landed at a high angle and planes don't uaually open reverse thrusters at a high angle

Your videos are the best, you should make more, also, since you were in the front row, the tv was smaller, but if there is a seat in front of you, it's normally bigger!
I fly frequently to München on Lufthansa and they create the best product, but the cabin crew could be nicer. Also, and airberlin, they give you amenity kits in economy class, only on night flights, which is good, but the bags smelled funny!

I took that plane to München too, but I was in economy, and the plane left from New York, JFK International. Economy gave us big televisions in each seat, and it's the only airline that has great plane food!
I am happy to hear that they serve good food at transatlantic/long-houl flights. On inter-European routes I was usually served with a cold sandwich. When flying with Air Malta (MUC-MLA) I got a normal dinner, similar route with Lufthansa (MLA-FRA) meant receiving just a small 'chicken wrap'.

Great video! Do agree that LH Business is good. For me, I would trade in the angle bed to the unedible and bad service you get normally with UA. Comparing both my experience in First and Business on either, LH wins hands down. As for the mouthwash, I do not think that it is unhygienic as you are suppose to pour a bit into the cups provided and mix it with water. SQ is another major airline that has such mouthwashes in their bathroom. It is after all concentrated mouthwash!
@nldogbert These are great points. I think overall, LH is definitely a better product--better food and better service than UA. However, the lie-flats on UA beat the LH angled seats if you are a side sleeper. H first blows UA first out of the water. There is no comparison, I agree with you. Great video report as usual! Just a point of clarification however, in many of your videos you use the term 'reverse thrusters'. The Space Shuttle has 'reverse thrusters' (as in a small rocket thruster used in maintaining a particular attitude or velocity in space flight), but airplanes have 'thrust reversers'. A slight difference in wording, certainly, but a large difference in meaning! Anyways, my nit pick is over. Keep up the great work!

Nice video.I flew LH A346 one time to CAN and MNL in august 2006 when missed connection to BKK on TG in FRA. They had toilet in downstairs in eco class. 1st class was so luxury so biz class was fine and better view of engine.

yeah, sometimes when I look up on a clear skied day, I see up to 25 planes flying here over! Last time I flew over here without this being my final destination was an BA flight from Phoenix to London, I woke up, looked out the window and saw Vestman Islands, south of Iceland (still a part of Iceland, my dads family are from Vestmannaeyjar)

@sfflyer123 The menue problem must have been specific to this flight..it is not normal on LH. Just back from the FCT trip..was the only one in F. Service below my expectations..pampering factor disappointing. But brand new V8 Porsche Cayenne and its "roar" on trip to plane was sensational..and a very nice drive who did a detour with me through a tunnel to let me feel and hear the power..looved it.
@homer3152 That is great, homer, that you did not get the mini-van like I did. If you found the pampering factor on LH disappointing, I can only imagine what Emirates is like! I will have to try it one day, if I ever get the chance. I will look forward to your video trip report!!

Outstanding once again sfflyer, my videos i did from my flight with Qatar to Bangkok via Doha i have the bathroom window view as well, one thing that you and the Great Homer will always beat me on is the food and drink you superstars can consume during a flight, the food with Qatar was amazing but i don't eat much as you will see when i have the time to upload it all...with a bit look it should all be uploaded by next month as im very busy at work...no rest for the wicked even when jet lagged ;)

The Space Shuttle has 'reverse thrusters' (as in a small rocket thruster used in maintaining a particular attitude or velocity in space flight), but airplanes have 'thrust reversers'. A slight difference in wording, certainly, but a large difference in meaning! Anyways, my nit pick is over. Keep up the great work!

Nice video.I flew LH A346 one time to CAN and MNL in august 2006 when missed connection to BKK on TG in FRA. They had toilet in downstairs in eco class. 1st class was so luxury so biz class was fine and better view of engine.

yeah, sometimes when I look up on a clear skied day, I see up to 25 planes flying here over! Last time I flew over here without this being my final destination was an BA flight from Phoenix to London, I woke up, looked out the window and saw Vestman Islands, south of Iceland (still a part of Iceland, my dads family are from Vestmannaeyjar)

@sfflyer123 The menue problem must have been specific to this flight..it is not normal on LH. Just back from the FCT trip..was the only one in F. Service below my expectations..pampering factor disappointing. But brand new V8 Porsche Cayenne and its "roar" on trip to plane was sensational..and a very nice drive who did a detour with me through a tunnel to let me feel and hear the power..looved it.

Outstanding once again sfflyer, my videos i did from my flight with Qatar to Bangkok via Doha i have the bathroom window view as well, one thing that you and the Great Homer will always beat me on is the food and drink you superstars can consume during a flight, the food with Qatar was amazing but i don't eat much as you will see when i have the time to upload it all...with a bit look it should all be uploaded by next month as im very busy at work...no rest for the wicked even when jet lagged ;)
