very nice, altought I liked Shenmue and other games released in the year 2000, like Chrono Cross, Code Veronica and Majoras's Mask very much, none of them came even close of No One Lives Forever that year.
Shenmue was the best on DC that year tough, but NOLF wins overall
@pokestory1 You... can't really capture video with VGA cables, unless you invest in some kind of VGA -> HDMI converter, and I don't have anything that captures video from HDMI anyway because they're like $100. On top of that, Shenmue is an old game; it's going to be "pixely" no matter what kind of cables I use, because it natively runs in a low resolution.
There are 2 other games I really like because like shenmue they show alot of scenary instead of just having a game filled with action (more slow paced games so to speak)
It's funny. Before I knew the Dreamcast, I received an AT&T disc a month before the DC's release that included previews of a lot of upcoming DC games. I was excited when I saw Sonic Adventure, and then I saw the Shenmue trailer. I was 13 at the time, and that age, I was pretty ignorant, and I always saw Shenmue as something boring. A year ago today, I stumbled upon a store that had Shenmue for the Dreamcast in mint condition for $10. I got it and decided to try it out, and it left me amazed.
It always bugs me when people say Shenmue cost 70 million.
The Shenmue PROJECT, which was the first three games along with the aborted Saturn version and tech demos was 70 million. They developed and created the assets for all three games simultaneously.
The estimated cost of the first game based on some documents was about 23 million, still a lot at the time.
You should make one for No One Lives Forever or its sequel. They're both great games that never made the big bucks even though one was given Game of the Year.
They're games for PC and Mac though I'm not sure whether you make reviews on those.
I do video reviews basically for whatever I feel like doing a review for and can capture video of. Capturing video of NOLF probably isn't a huge deal but... it depends on how inspired I am to capture footage, write the script, voice the script, get music from the game's soundtrack, and edit it all together. I mean, this Shenmue review took me over a week to produce and I was actually trying to rush it. It's a lot of work. :p

I loved this review, and even though it'll never happen. I still wish they would come out with the final game.
