This films has an absolute awesome concept, but it also has alot of let downs. I.e Storyline, acting.

what i really loved about this film is that it's most likely to have been a really low budget film and also their make up effects on the zombies

all in all i would give this film 6.5/10

i rate this movie about a 4 on a 1 to 10 in the zombie scale. Nice independent try to catch the 1st person view and the gore was pretty decent. However, I had to say the narrative becomes a little disjointed and out of sequence which slows down the flow of the movie. At least in Diary of the Dead, not one of my more fav. zombie movies, the flow was slow and steady. Still worth a look for some people.. though.

I bought the zombie diaries thinking it would be awesome. but personally I thought it wasn't as good as diary of the dead.

actually z4chm4n44 most of diary of the deads blood is CG I think theres like 2 scenes that arent like the one in the barn where they shoot the zombie chick and the part in the hospital where they pull the pole out of that one guys head, other than that Romero said he needed cg cause he didnt have the time to clean up the sets when the squibs would mess up so he wanted more cg which is fine if it looks real which it didnt but still

I rather liked this film, love the way it was filmed and the actors, the angles but still it is not better than Diary of the Dead, but its still a great zombie flick.

lets put it this way if zombie diaries was the earth, diary of the dead is the distance to the sun better. and there was no cgi blood if you slow down the diary of the dead at key points you see the "blood" spraying on the wall from the side.

I got this at Video Vault, do not buy do not rent i swear man. Cloverfield at least was passable with the whole character holding and recording with a camera. The cover looks very well done and epic but it was horrible to watch. But I don't care if it is independant, it sucked ass like a bunch of college kids from a film academy got together in the woods and went with it.

really...? you like Zombie Diaries more than Diary of the Dead?... I think Diary of the Dead is WAYYY better... I am only half way through the movie and am wishing I had bought another zombie movie... its not terrible for an indie film... but it doesn't compare to Diary of the Dead.

I will agree with you that Diary of the Dead is not one of George Romero's strongest films... but its MILES ahead of Zombie Diaries

I already read - before watching the movie - a lot critism about it and thought - he, it can not be that bad. But it can!

Don't waste your time - and your money! (my poor 9.99€ ) Maybe, the beginning is a LIL bit interesting, but you think that can rescue it?! i feel ashamed to have this dvd in my collection, i wanted to bring it back imadeiately! Use ur time anyway - play frisbee with it like sayed.

can someone tell me why this movie is better than DotD?? I thought this movie was appauling...I'm glad I rented it. DotD at least had cool zombies kills, this movie was just all zombies being accurately shot with a rifle, no shot ever missed. They were just normal nobodies with a gun. 80% of the movie was shot in the dark...I don't understand why people think this is better than DotD.... =[

In my opinion this movie was way better than Diary of the Dead. While DotD was a great disappointment this one was a great surprise.

I am a huge zombie fan, seen so many zombie films and I personally like when the scenes take place in such surroundings as in this movie.

In Zombie Diaries the spooky athmosphere is constantly there, not having some cheap "BOO!! got you!" horror stuff. The soundtrack is pretty good for creating this.

This is one of the crapiest horror/zombie films i've ever watched. The cover is so miss leading and saying "Better than Danny Boyle's 28 days laters" is total crap. Has to be one of the worst films i've seen, waste of my time and MONEY!

I disagree... Land of the Dead is Romeros weakest. THAT was terrible.

I thought Diary of the Dead was waay better than zombie diaries. I was so pissed off at my self for buying it, after I saw it. It didn't scare me at all, the acting was terrible, the plot was bad, and it was just... Unbelievable.

Oh please George make a good zombie film again! Diary was an absolute turd. The acting is atrocious, the appearance of Myspace in film is hilariously distracting, and the overall story was so hack-eyed.

I dig on the idea of our society becoming so reliant on electronic media that we are turning ourselves into cyber-zombies, but the storytelling here is just a misfire.

This movie had horrible acting and even worse story. The zombies were not scary and the plot moved at a snails pace. Have you not seen the Zach Snyder Dawn of the Dead remake? Now that's a zombie movie!

Well, I like the whole idea of towns being created and stuff. But when zombies start using guns, and humans drive around in super trains then it becomes a bit too much like Resident Evil (which i'm not a fan off) Also in this movie, I think those 2 maniacs ruined it
