@kylieslater1 us rules dude, and yes it is muay thai but it all depends on if its dutch or thai, the duth tend to box it out more. This match was neither, it was just two amateurs going at it in a crazy manner, no technique at all.
Screw everyone talkin about "use more kicks"......everyone knows that most muay thai fighters dont have good hands.......he uses his strongest weapon against his opponents weakest skill. well done!
Don't forget your other 6 weapons. You had that guy wadded up a few times but couldn't crack him with just hands. I like to left hook a guy along the ropes to set up a e high switch or a left knee to the liver.
Im not been critical but the only thing i would say is you should keep your chin down more when your throwing and keep your guard tight straight after your finish throwing. A heavy handed opponent could find that chin on the counter.
Obviously you were safe to do that there as you were a class above him but in with someone on your level or better you'd need to be a bit tighter imo.
i dont get why people say boxing is better. It gets old quick because all you can do is punch the person. there is no knees or elbows or clinches. Boxing is boring.
@bdd549 I'd say the perfect combination is Boxing and Muay Thai. Fists aren't utilized too well in Muay Thai which is why technical boxing combinations followed with muay thai knees, elbows, kicks is absolutely perfect.
Dude! I trained under Bobby as well! Now I'm training in the Gracie Barra Panama (the country) I need a big favor. We're looking to take 3-4 of our fighters to fight in FL can you ask Bobby or someone who may know when the next tournament or arranged fight will be. We are very interested in getting experience! Thannx and tell the guys back a GBO Ramsey said what's up... Good win by the way.
yeah thats pretty much what happened. except the ref asked him if he wanted to continue and at first he said no, then his corner told him he was ok. i have never seen a fight where you can quit then change your mind.
okay, WTF happened? Did the ref explain to you why he stopped the fight and then started it again? All I can guess is that he abruptly stopped the fight thinking your opponent was too injured, but realized he made a mistake, and asked the doctor to see if your opponent could continue...is that what happened?
is that your cornerman yelling "slow down?" you should always listen to your corner....you didnt listen man, and look how this fight turned out...ha.....ha..love you
yeah even worse was the ref calling the fight, i was like wtf??? but it got worse for him, he should have quit cause that last shot broke his nose, felt kinda bad about that
and its kick boxing not muay thai

Good first fight! i think it was a bit unevenly matched though. but then again it is hard to make good matches for first time fights.
